Dangan Ronpa Reload info about Ishimaru's middle school

so you remember that interview of kodaka that went around about how they chose not to put any info about Ishimaru’s middle school because it would have gotten “dark”. well, as far as ive looked theres no info posted anywhere about why ishimarus middle school life was dark, however i found this picture

for those who dont know what the last panel says, it says “school background”

Ishimaru is from 開成灘高校- which is a real school in Japan, and here is some notable info about it:

It is an all boys private school

It is a two part middle school-senior high school

Boat racing…is a sport there…

In Tokyo

It’s really high quality and a lot of the students end up going to University of Tokyo (basically the harvard of japan, and pretty the harvard of Asia)
