(Retro & Vintage) Flip-Phone: Functional (Override/Default Replacement) & Bonus Decorative (2026 UPDATE)

As per request, an override/default replacement phone (now updated with changeable swatches in-game)! + A bonus decorative/clutter version.

Update! (2026)

Instead of having to choose to download only 1 flip phone (which all sims are then forced to use); you can now have all swatches in 1 file and change the color for each sim’s individual flip phone in-game! You do this the same way you change your sims' regular phone case in-game. 

Just delete the old .package file and add the new one.

Your sims can now all have their own personal and uniquely colored retro phones!

I got help from a friend to finally update this but I haven't play-tested it in a while. The file has been sitting in my folder for months and I won't get around to playtesting and polishing it anytime soon, so I figured I'd just post it already because I'm still getting countless requests for this update!!😅

Can u put the phone colors from your flip phone override into the phone case picker that came with hsy? (It's on the upper side of the phone) So we don't have to pick between the colors anymore and can have them all in-game 🥺

(Retro & Vintage) VCR/VHS Set

The Sims 4 is really lacking in the vintage electronics department tbh so here’s a set!

Details & info: This set has 5 items in total:

A VHS machine with 3 swatches; white, gray and black.

A remote control with 3 swatches to match the VHS,

And 2 video cassette tapes!

There’s also a version where the remote & cassettes are stacked on top of and around the VHS. (in case you prefer to have them “all in one”, so to speak).

(Optional) Colorful Pastel & Rainbow recolors of these items can be found HERE.

Both VHS players have slots to place and stack items on top of.

Note(s): These items are purely decorative and don’t actually function as a Video Home System.

Screenshots were taken using shaders, so colors may differ a little bit in-game.

MintyJinx Flip Phone - Converted to Accessory

I was desperate for a late 2000s-era phone for my story's screenshots, so I converted @mintyjinx's fantastic Flip Phone Override/Deco object into a posing accessory!

⭐ DETAILS:

14 swatches

Left and right-handed versions

Available as ring (left index) and bracelet (left)

Works well with most poses that use Natalia-Auditore's iPhone accessory

Disabled for random

⭐ NOTES:

Due to scaling the UV map down to fit the accessory slot, the texture is unfortunately not as detailed or as crisp as the original. But it gets the job done.

Some clipping or floating may occur depending on the pose you use, and it doesn't always sit perfectly within the hand. Your mileage may vary.

Please follow MintyJinx's TOU and the TOU of any pose creators you use this accessory with. Do not edit and reupload existing poses as your own with this accessory. But if you create some brand-new poses of your own to go with it, tag me - I'd love to see!

I love your flip phone CC, and I've converted the deco object into a posing accessory for my own storytelling screenshots and rigged it to work with most iPhone poses. I was just going to keep it for my own personal use, but would it be okay to share it (free) as long as I credit/tag/ask people to follow your TOU? Thanks so much for creating it!

Another Wall Mounted Landline Telephone (+ Fire Sprinkler box)

Okay, in all seriousness; the “Fire Prevention System Utility Panel” / the sprinkler box is a real eyesore. Because EA didn't consider the fact that people have aesthetic standards and due to how revolting the fire box looks; people go out of their way to HIDE it in their builds!

That’s why I made this item which looks more like a telephone and is inspired by The earlier Sims’ games’ burglar alarms and real life security systems.

I also made a second decorative version that functions as a very dim light source. You can have both files in-game at the same time

This download has 2 files: 📞 File number 1: Utility System/Fire Sprinkler box  Functions as an alternative to the in-game fire sprinkler box. This is not a default replacement.

Picture provided at the end of the post for size comparison as well. The new alarm is a bit smaller and less of an eyesore. 😅 📞 File number 2: Wall-Lamp This is only decorative. Produces a dim light.

You CAN have both files-in game at the same time.

Background/Personal Notes: What inspired this object is The Sims 2 in general with its security system against burglars and its old-school telephones (Gotta appreciate the nostalgia!) BUT MORE IMPORTANTLY: the main reason i created this telephone as an alternative is THE GOD AWFUL FIRE SPRINKILER BOX! IT’S SO HIDEOUS! So I started off making this purely as a second option for the Sprinkelr box but soon decided to also make a lamp. LIKE, I TOOK PERSONAL OFFENSE TO HOW UGLY THE SPRIMKLER IS. Also, i currently can't spell the word sprinklier because I’m pissed off and NO i won't fix my spelling because i’m javing a moment. 😅

Terrain-to-Floor Collection

You know what drives me nuts in The Sims 4? (Many things) but in this case it’s that most terrain paints don’t have matching floor tilings and the ones that DO have matching floors do not have matching names. E.g. is how the terrain paint “Two-tone stone” does in fact have a matching flooring but instead the floor is called “Antique Stone Tile”. WHY.

Well, here’s a remake of most of the non-grass terrain paints made into floor tilings.

Just search for the name of the terrain paint you want the matching floor tile for (in Build/Buy catalog) and you shall find it!

Yes! Here it is!

As requested! A functional mobile phone override version of the Cordless Landline Telephone ! At this point There’s a complete set for the Cordless Landline telephone 😅 

You can only have a single phone override in your game at a time, so remember to only download a single .package file! 

There are 15 options to choose from. Each phone (and subsequent file) is numbered to reflect the swatches in the picture above. I’ve also provided pictures of phone number 1 (Pink), 6 (Purple), 15 (Blue) and phone number 12 (Green) as a few in-game examples of how the phones look like.
