Children think the world is in safe hands because it’s run by adults until they become adults themselves.

“Respect to Nature.”
Humans adapting themselves to nature rather than forcing other species to adapt to us. This is what we must do in the Anthropocene. Trees are the most important three dimensional structures of many ecosystems, and they are the central design features of most permaculture gardens. They provide many products and services to other species, from housing to food (acorns, insects, pollen), shade and shelter from the wind. We ought to respect their importance.
THIS IS WHAT LIFE SHOULD BE AM SO FUCKING ABOUT THIS
This is actually pretty cool.
There was a burr oak growing through the dining room at the country club where my grandma was a waitress when I was a kid. It was the most amazing thing I’d seen in my young life. I’d go home and obsessively try to draw pictures of trees inside buildings.
Tree houses.

From your perspective, you will never die. You can’t consciously be aware that you are dead.

Another affirmation that’s getting me through lately. Trying new things is so anxiety-provoking! But, if you want life to be the way you want it, you have to force yourself to do things you might not know how to do perfectly. °˖✧*• Shop, Patreon, Book *•. ✧˖°`
As someone who needed an HOUR and a lot of cheating yesterday to finish one sudoku puzzle of average difficulty, this is a reminder that being bad at puzzles doesn’t mean you’re stupid.
Aside from your energy and focusing abilities on any given day, there are different kinds of learning and thought processes. You can also be bad at some kinds of puzzles and good at others. I’m absolute shite at number games and so-so with word searches, but I can usually figure out those symbol sudoku games in Mass Effect Andromeda and I finished 14 of 15 DAI astrariums without looking up cheats.
I really loathe people who equate puzzle intelligence with overall intelligence. They’re not the same thing. You could be a literal certified genius and still be crap at puzzles. You could have dyslexia or dyscalculia but be good at puzzles. Yes, sometimes practice makes certain games easier, but sometimes it’s also a matter of fundamental brain type, and that doesn’t have to be the same thing as intellectual level.
