small update and info about game crashes

hey everyone! i’ve still been around and still plan on being active, and progress on everlily is going smoothly! i will upload some more posts either later today or tomorrow, so please look forward to them.  if you’d like to read more about my frequent crashes while playing ACNH and the corrupted data i found, feel free to read under this cut! thank you to everyone who’s been following (i really appreciate it, no matter how inactive i may be!)

for a while now i was experiencing frequent crashes on my digital copy, and i was worried about what would happen to my save data. these crashes would occur whenever i would perform simple tasks such as interacting with my mailbox or just walking/talking with my villagers, and the music would cut out or other things would occur (such as the villager’s dialogue audio cutting out) seconds before the game would crash. i would receive the message “the software was closed because an error occurred” and the game would close immediately after. i checked to see if there was any corrupted data through managing software in system settings and the system found traces of corrupted data. after that, it redownloaded the game for me, and after a little less than an hour of anxious waiting (fearing that my save data would be gone), it came back and everything was safe and sound. since then, i haven’t been experiencing any issues or crashes! i just wanted to let people know about this and that if your game is experiencing related crashes, to please check for corrupted data and redownload if necessary! in my case, my game was fine, but i can’t say the same for most people. however, i would assume that the result would be the same.  anyway, thank you for taking the time to read this and i’ll upload some more posts either later today or tomorrow! 💖
