It occured to him tat she had beautiful hands. He didn’t know where the thought came from, like a gust of wind, it just suddenly blew into his mind. Perhaps it came by when he trained his eyes on hers as she fixed his drink, holding the whisk, the motion that was at once sharp and strong and yet carried with elegance. And when she went to wash the bowl, he found his eyes trailing back to her hands again, the way her wrist flick every now and then and he had to shift his gaze back to his now empty glass.
Was it, the way he drunk, a bit too crass? Without class? How he just downed everything. Perhaps someone like a certain someone in a power suit would take his time with it, appearing like a figure seen in magazine for successful people or something. But the thought vanished like smoke as soon as it entered his mind. Well, Seiji’s only just Seiji after all, why try to be something he’s not. At the offer of another serving of the drink, he quickly perked up, a smile as cheerful as a summer day and perhaps would have tasted like a cherry pie. “Oh!! Yes please! Ah! But I don’t know how much it cost, how much is it again, Mirai-san? You’re not suddenly going to charge me 1 million yen and i end up with a debt for the rest of my life right?” He laughed at his own joke, something like that would only happen in comic books, but who knows what life had in plan for you?
“Heheh~ I guess that makes me better at one thing than you, huh?” Of course, it only meant as a light commentary that meant nothing, as always. Well with him, what else could it be? “Well, f’course I have a preferred style right? Everyone does, even you! Like there’s a building style you like and those who you see and just think eeeehhh something like that right? I mean you may not know what the terms but of course you know how it works!” He gave a warm grin at her comment and a thumbs up as his shifted in his seat before settling to lean back on it, enjoying the comfortable and almost warm silence that engulfed the place. “Mmm, so I picked a good time, huh? I think that’s kinda my talent, like in RPGs, I always pick the right door and all. Kinda useless talent, but pretty cool, huh?”
He played with the empty cup in his hand, toying with its handle and running the paddings of his fingers along the rim of the cup, making a low ringing echoed through the room. “Mmmm~ I guess since I have a girlfriend I mostly play with her and my friends. Or just drop by places like this~ How about you? Though I guess running a cafe like this means you have no free time huh? I mean you’re managing the place and doing all the shopping and the accounting things as well. Yikes, Mirai-san, talk about busy?” Accompanied with a smile though he could only imagine how the other cope with all that and balancing her private life. Adults, they’re really something, huh?
