I'd say that a "very close to the characters portrayed in the movies" is kind of relative on personal taste since every author has their headcanons and expand on them, but for me, the next authors get them.
Check the dwp fandom list on their author's page on archive of our own for these authors, basically all and any stories listed there are worth reading.
