Hi, I’m Miriam and I’m a menace.

In all seriousness, I used to be @theguardianangel-fanfiction but have since changed my name — both IRL and on AO3 — and wanted a fresh start.

I’m a Reform Jewish, autistic, licensed veterinary technician in the state of Virginia, USA, and I write primarily for Telltale’s The Walking Dead.

Sorry for sort of going AWOL for a bit. I have an autoimmune disease that has been flaring its ugly head recently and am trying to get my symptoms under control. I’m also in the final semester of my current degree and am in the final few weeks, so I’m hustling right now. I finish July 30th and sit for what will hopefully be my final exam on August 17th, so I’m hoping that I will be able to knock out a few more chapters of LTTS then.

I’m really trying to not abandon LTTS, and that’s not the current plan. I’ve just had a lot of health issues recently and dealing with The Horrors (employment).

Do you ever read a fanfic that is just so good it just sticks with you into days or even weeks after you’ve read it. Like you could be sitting in class or alone in your room and suddenly you’re just like, wow, that was a really good fanfic. Like it was really good.

Fandom Problem #14,588:

Working on a WIP, posting chapter for chapter, but barely getting any comments and more often than not getting no comments at all. Leaving me less and less motivated to write that WIP until I stop touching it.

To then getting a ton of comments asking when the next update will come or why the updates stopped coming.

I am sorry. My crystal ball was in the laundry, so I wasn't aware that other people were actually reading and enjoying my fanfic, because no one bothered to tell me!

Writing Update

Me, taking a shot every time I reference sheep, shepherds, dogs, wolves, and lambs in LTTS during my planning.

I am a Jew, okay? Raised by a Christian father, of course, and a patrilineally Jewish mom. I have read more Bible verses during my research for chapter titles for LTTS than I did during the early Christian education that my parents tried to raise me in (which obviously failed).

Writing Update

I can't imagine what it's like for people trying to write realistic TWDG fanfics that take place in VA, NC, or Maryland. I'm a native of VA -- I moved to the US when I was 2 years old and grew up in VA, and I still have five tabs open on my computer trying to figure out Virginia geography.

Granted, I'm mostly looking at Appalachia when I grew up in the Tidewater region (for those not from VA or the US, they're on opposite ends of a state about the size of Ireland), but still. Howe's is apparentely canonically in Tennessee, and I've been to Tennessee, but only to Gatlinburg. I think I might've driven through Nashville. The ski lodge is canonically in NC and I'm assuming the cabin group is in VA since Luke's holding a map of VA in episode 2. I live near the NC border, and I go to Camden, NC and Moyock, NC for lunch sometimes. I still have to look at atlases and Google Maps. I cannot imagine how difficult it is for those of you who live in other states or countries.

i hate the “carlos isn’t a real doctor” theory bc it’s literally only based on players being upset the cabin group didn’t immediately accept clementine

and i think it annoys me bc a lot of twdg fans are way less merciful and would see “bitten girl mysteriously shows up after the time you escaped” and smash that [SHOOT] button without even thinking about it
