Yes, "What a day." not "What a day!"
I woke up at 6:30 am which is the earliest I've gotten out of bed in two months. Today's the second day of my IELTS exam (more on that later) and so I didn't have to ask my parents dropped me off at the venue. It's their 33rd wedding anniversary and they're sending their unemployed 25-year-old daughter for an English test. Now, I'm currently suffering from writer's block (in short: I am lazy to construct paragraphs cohesively), so I made a list of events that happened today.
1) Like I've mentioned, I had my LRW exams today (S was completed yesterday). I think I did pretty well in LR, but not so much in WS. I had to freaking take a piss during W so 3 minutes had already been wasted for the the bathroom trip. In addition to that, I didn't have much time to count the number of words so I'm praying to Miss Vanjie that I'll get the band score I'm aiming for.
2) Since it's my parents' anniversary today, we went to the nearby mall to have lunch, after which they planned to watch Rainbow's Sunset. I already saw the movie so I sat out and took the chance to smoke (please don't tell my parents). I roamed around the mall for two hours and got a tall cup of milk tea while waiting for my folks. I was so sleepy and tired the whole day.
3) Today is also my month anniversary with my boyfriend. We haven't been speaking so much for the past few days (FYI, we're in a long-distance relationship). We agreed to VK (a.k.a. Russian Facebook-slash-Skype) to iron out our differences. But gahd, it's as if time doesn't want us to. When he was online, I was sleeping. When I was online, he was occupied. Now what?
4) My brother and his wife announced today that they're expecting their first child. While I am happy for them, this circumstance worries me in some way. You see, my brother is dependent of my parents (e.g. paid for his wedding and handed over the family business to him). A little back story: my mom convinced me to quit my job in Dubai in place of assisting me financially to study in Canada (reason why I took the IELTS exam). To connect the dots, I am worried that my schooling may be postponed to prioritize the baby's expenses.
5) My mom's lawyer came by to update her on the status of her land title. This visit is accompanied by him taking money from my mom to complete his transactions. Dude's been "trying" to finish his job for the past two years and what he says everytime is "next week okay na yan." KYAH, TWO YEARS. PARA SA PUTANG INANG TITULO. But my parents trust him. Personally, I think he's a douchebag, making sure words like "baril", "ipapate", and "demanda" are included in his stories, stories which aren't even related to my mom's request.
6) And by the way, I saw an accident with fresh blood spilled all over the road. People were just standing there watching the guy struggle to stand up. Just writing about it gives me PTSD.
That's it. Tomorrow's another day.
