Hi! I'm Misfit. I'm 26, I use any pronouns (but prefer for them to be varied, if possible!), and I'm a fat queer artist who likes lots of different fashion aesthetics! I'll be posting outfit concepts, crafts, and, eventually, finished looks in the form of IRL photos of me! I'm an amateur when it comes to sewing, so most of my fashion-related crafts will probably be mediocre - but that's okay with me!

I don't tolerate fatphobia/body shaming, queerphobia or LGBTQ+ exclusionism of any sort, and, honestly, pretty much any kind of unwarranted meanness. I don't have the energy to vet my followers too closely, but if you actually interact with my posts with any of that sort of behaviour, expect an immediate block.

I don't consent to kink-related interaction! I'm sex-positive and don't care if you're kinky, just keep the actual kink material somewhere else, please! (Basically, don't add kink-related captions to my posts or reblog my posts to a strictly-kink-related blog.)

New misfit, new misfit!! Woo!

This is Ripley (he/they/it), my gore-core/horror-themed persona. He's gross and weird and I adore him. (Also, he happens to look the most like my IRL self out of all the misfits, so I love him for that too. He's self-esteem boosting for SURE.)

Side note to avoid confusion: the fact that he binds but can't fully flatten his chest and is disappointed by that is directly based on me. It's not a judgement toward anyone who binds "incompletely" or doesn't bind at all, whether by choice or by inability! it's literally just... I personally don't like that *I personally* can't get totally flat! Just for clarity, haha. <3 (heart emoticon).

Hey so.... hypothetically, if I made stickers and maybe other stuff of this design (but higher quality and without my big ugly watermarks on 'em, of course) would anyone be into that? Sound off if you like the concept. I could also make variants with different aro-spec flags (and ace-spec, aroace-spec, aplatonic, etc) if there was enough demand, but seeing as I would be selling the stuff as a super-duper small business, there's no guarantee that I could do too many variants, at least not right away...

okay someone explain why my drawings of Cherry and ERROR-A/Aurora are in the exact same pose. I drew them DAYS apart with no reference to the other....

@fatphobiabusters made a prompt list (link) for Fat Liberation Month! Here's my new misfit for the prompt "Futuristic". This is ERROR-A/Aurora, a Cyberdelia/Y2K Futurism-themed robot raver! (She/He/They used, any pronouns accepted!)

She has a lava lamp belly because, as a fat person myself, I'm self-conscious about my belly, so I figured it'd be cool to make an OC whose aesthetic hinges on their belly being seen!

Nervous about it though because my hair has gotten shaggy and instead of going back to my standard sorta-buzzcut, I’m gonna try a new style! So if my self-portrait/icon’s hairstyle changes you know it went well, lol.

not gonna lie I'm very sad I didn't make any of my Halloween-aesthetic outfits into real outfits last year. SO. I'm gonna do some cutesy lovecore-mixed-with-other-stuff fits for Valentine's Day/February in general. I have eight (8) whole ideas so hopefully I can get at least one of em realized by the end of the month. Maybe my first photo post will be a Valentine's outfit! I can dream....

Hello! I'm working on representing different weird/alt/cute fashion styles with my fat body, both in art and reality, and I'd love suggestions. Anything you all (or your followers!) would like to see more fat people wearing is fair game! For real clothes, I'm working mostly with thrift store and hand-altered clothes, so nothing too complex right now, but literally any suggestions are welcome in case I can do them in the future! (In case it helps, I currently have fashion-inspo-OCs planned for glam rock, scene/emo, fairy grunge, kawaii, and vaguely-inspired-by-punk aesthetics, among others!) Thank you!

Just FYI...

I'm making some fashion personas (I guess? I don't know what to call them...) to represent my varying interests. They'll mostly stay on their designated side blog, @meet-the-misfits, but since they're plus-size-fashion related too, expect some crossover with this blog! I'll be roleplaying on the other blog, so if you see names other than V in the captions there, that's why!

Also, I'm open to suggestions for more aesthetics to make personas themed around! My current interests are wildly varied (kidcore, glam rock, scene, lovecore, and more...) so anything goes! I might not use the suggestion if I don't think I can represent the aesthetic with hand-altered or thrifted clothes, but I'll keep all suggestions in mind in case I can use them later!
