“You’re making me do these horrible things. Like being kind to myself and doing my work!”
Did I sneak in to a Finnish folk music festival just to hug my friend?
OMG YES
Don’t ask about the picture frame in the ceiling, or the ceramic goose in a makeshift blanket-hoodie, or the slice of bread hanging from a Christmas garland in the kitchen doorway. Don’t ask if we have a dog named Sammy, because we do, but he doesn’t sleep in his cardboard dog house or eat from his extra large food bowl. Don’t ask about the disco light in the closet, the fruit-sticker-jar, the numerous musical instruments or the decapitated snow-Moomin on our doorstep or why we use a puzzle as coasters. Don’t mention the Christmas table cloth and whatever you do, don’t say a bad word about the sofa!

Did another discord request stream, and this time I got to draw Apollo sleeping on a herd of sheep for @cows-and-crows and more college Copollo for @chaixinni !

HOW MENY KIDS DO U HAVE???
I need to start a list tbh. Reblog if you’re my kid.
It’s quite interesting reading two different books by two different authors about demigods with the same godly parent.
In one book the demigod knows a lot about fashion and resents his self-absorbed mother. In the other book the demigod can control growing things and just wants his down to earth mother to hug him.
And somehow they are brothers.
You suddenly switch bodies with your icon. On a scale of 1 to 10, (10 being the highest value) how well are you coping with that change?
I know nothing about Bridgerton, but I found out that there are two sisters named Daphne and Hyacinth. Like Apollo’s two lovers. That is so cool.
hey fellow Europeans (EU), just a friendly and mildly concerned reminder that in less than a month, the European elections are taking place. it's an election with a historically low turnout, but one that is just as important as any other, if not more. the composition of the EU parliament determines the political direction of the EU, and has an impact on all 27 countries through directives and regulations that get voted.
we cannot let far right extremist parties get an even bigger stronghold there than they already do. sadly, there are very significant threats of exactly that happening from many countries.
so please, if you are an EU citizen living in the EU and are of voting age, check the modalities to vote in your country of residence, and make sure to make your voice heard.
Did anyone else as a kid when they watched the same movie over and over decide to switch the language just to spice things up or was that just me
So my dvds typically had the choice between swedish, danish and norwegian, and the movie’s original language. Occasionally finnish could also be an option and icelandic very rarely but it happened. Most of all as a kid, I picked swedish of course.
But I remember one dvd specifically, it was a care bears dvd with 8 episodes on it. English was not even an option of a language. No, only swedish, norwegian and danish. After watching it a million times in swedish, I decided… what happens if I pick another language…
And, to a swede, norwegian and danish sounds hilarious, so I had a really entertaining time watching. And this inspired me to try it out with other movies I had.
Usually, I had my usual roundabout with swedish-norwegian-danish, but sometimes I spiced it up with finnish. I sometimes switched language mid-movie. I recall watching Charlie and the chocolate factory, and every 5 minutes switching languages. My dvd for some reason only had english, swedish and norwegian, so it was those three. I even rewinded whenever the songs were on because I wanted to know how they sounded in all languages fully (I really love the songs in catcf and I wish there was a multilanguage compilation of them)
Anyway… dvds exist all across the world, all with their own language options. Did anyone else do this??
I did this too! We had a DVD with one Kim Possible-episode and a few other random Disney-things on it and after watching this thing a 100 times in Swedish I switched to Norwegian just for fun. I recall doing the same with a Dora the Explorer DS game.
Kids these days will never understand…
