life is back pain
i once heard a scientist in a documentary about evolution refer to the human spine as an âarchitectural nightmareâ and then procede to explain why every back is a bad back. it was so validating.
I adjusted my bra straps wrong one day and Iâve been in a ridiculous amount of pain for the past week.
Wendy Carlos
For people who might not know - Wendy Carlos is a trans woman who was deeply influential in early electronic music and hugely involved with the push to have synthesizers seen as real instruments.
Some of the movies Wendy Carlos did the soundtracks for, that you may know:
A Clockwork Orange
The Shining
Tron
She has three Grammys, and a lifetime achievement award from the Society for Electro-Acoustic Music in the United States.
Oh and she also takes photos of eclipses that are so good Nasa uses them.
Her discography is here!
And here is a more recent photo of her with her cat, Pandora:

hi, im selling all of my work on this website (including being open to commission offers) and poetry sales have really slowed down this year for me. considering that i need $ to cover my travel costs for my dj sets and eventually equipment, i have negligible funds to pursue that aspect of my artistry. i need like 4-5 people to buy my poetry books so ill be able to at least afford a bus ticket and ubers for my djâing this weekend <3
itâs hard for me to get compensated for my work so if ur feeling like u want to spend this winter reading some poetry thatâs really personal and dear to me, please message me on here! also message me if ur interested in a mix, visual art, or poetry commission :)
if u wanna donate just bc:

1985: National Geo make millions from âAfghan Girlâ portrait
2016: Still has the status of a refugee and may spend 14 years in jail because of her papers
I fucking hate this picture and everything it represents. Steve McCurry made millions off of this picture and its what launched his photojournalism career into the spotlight. While the woman in this picture got absolutely NOTHING and lived an awful and horrific existence. And calling her âAfghan Girlâ is so disrespectful. Her name is Sharbat Gula and her life could have been made 1000X easier had McCurry shared his wealth with her - or even if he couldnât find her, to share it with of refugees who he exploited. And honestly the idea of a white man going into wartorn nations (that are that way bc of american imperialism) to take pictures of refugees to profit off of their pain and trauma is gross Â
