He sighs. “It’s excruciating.”
Ava glances down at the bruises again before back up at him, "I think ice packs are supposed to help with bruises...if we can find something like that around here."

He sighs. “It’s excruciating.”
Ava glances down at the bruises again before back up at him, "I think ice packs are supposed to help with bruises...if we can find something like that around here."
"Thanks." He then moves closer to her and then he turns around. His sweat pants were clinging low on his hips, on his left hip there’s a large bruise there and it goes down on the part his sweat pants covers, there’s another bruise on the lower of his back, half of it is covered by his sweat pants as well. "I’m pretty sure a monster headbutt me, so is it bad?"
Ava cringes slightly at the size of the bruises. "They look pretty bad...do they hurt a lot?"
"Oh wait, can you like check my back if there are some bruises there too?"
"Oh, yeah," she nods. "Of course."
He looks at the short girl, and then he realizes it’s Ava. “I’m just checking on some bruises.”Â
"Do you need help with anything? Or, I could just--," she hesitates, blushing more due to embarrassment, "I could just go. You probably want privacy."
He’s in a restroom, he takes the sweater he’s wearing and checks on the couple of bruises he got on his body. When he hears a couple of footsteps he looks around.
Ava walks into the restroom, not paying attention for a moment. She looks up from her phone, realizing that Ryuu is standing there shirtless and her cheeks start to burn a little, turning red. She tries not to stare, but her gaze makes it to one of the bruises he managed to get and she frowns slightly, "Are you okay?"
"Oh, yeah I meant for my hair, but if you ever want to do anything that isn’t about hair that’s cool too.." She shakes her head. "No, it’s fine, I have enough shampoo. Really? I might ask her sometime then, but I’m really great right now." She nods.
"We could hang out if you want to, I don't mind."
"You’re the one acting like nothing crazy is going on."
"Because the only crazy thing going on here is you?"
She waits, idly humming as the job is done, and then lets Ava escort her to the mirror. She smiles as she looks, touching her hair. “It looks nearly the same.” She turns around and pulls Ava in for a hug before letting go quickly. “Sorry, I got excited.” She rubs the back of her neck. “Uh, I think it’s fine, you did a great job! Do you want to do anything else?”
Ava is surprised by the hug, but simply lets out a little laugh. "Oh Gods, it's fine. Thank you. I'm glad you like it." She pauses slightly at Lavina's question, though, tilting her head. "You mean for you hair? No, I think that's good, unless you want special shampoos or something like that. I'd offer to trim it if you needed, but I haven't even cut hair. I think Malia is really good at that, though."
She crosses her legs and lets Ava dye her hair.
After Ava finishes, she lets a half hour pass for the dye to do it's thing and washes it out afterwards. She smiles at her handiwork and then leads L to one of the mirrors, "Ta-da! We can go to my cabin and I can dry it and style it for you, but besides that kind of stuff, you're done."
"No. I’m supposed to be home. I was at home. I’ve never even seen you before."
"You're way off your rocker, pretty boy."
Brielle looks at Ava and shakes her head. “No, no. Don’t apologize. Must’ve been pretty cool finding out you have powers.” She gives her a small smile. “Have you gotten any better at it?”
Ava returns the smile and nods a little. "Yeah, slightly. I haven't done anything big with it, but I can control it. I was practicing with candles and stuff like that for a while."
She shakes her head. “I guess I’ve missed a bunch of pop culture because of camp.” She takes a seat and swings her legs a bit. “That’s actually really smart, and nice of people to think of. Thanks a bunch for this again Ava.”
"Oh yeah, sure thing," she nods and starts to apply the dye to L's roots.Â
She walked into the bathhouse after her, actually smiling back at Ava as she starts to relax a bit. “Probably. Your mom gave you great color coordination, probably one of the best powers to have.” She raises an eyebrow. “Kelly Osbourne dyed her hair?” She nods. “Yeah, I don’t think I’m quite ready for it.”
"You haven't seen Kelly's hair? It's really cool, actually. She's one of those people that just pulls it off, you know?" Ava find a bench and sets her bag down, pulling out a little bowl to mix the dye and conditioner together as well as a brush for the mixing and application. She starts to mix, gesturing for L to take a seat."Okay, the one super cool thing about this brand of dye is, like, it's mixed with special stuff to make your hair healthier after putting it through hell and whatever they make it with smells so good. So, the half hour plus that this is on you won't be so bad."
She nods. “Oh, cause of your mom? That’s super cool. I bet you’ll be really good at it if you’ve already been the camp’s beautician. I really like colors too. So my hair must be a bit appropriate. Well, until it’s changed back to normal.” She furrows her brow a bit when she says this.
"Yeah, I guess being Iris' daughter gave me knack for them." She nods, smiling fondly at Lavina as they arrive at their destination, walking inside the big bathhouse. "I understand the feeling with the hair thing. When Kelly Osbourne first dyed her hair lavender, I thought about it, but just ended up switching up my wardrobe instead because I read a lot about how the colors fade out and stuff like that. Besides, if you think that you'd like to dye your hair a color, you could always do it later on your terms."
She smiles back. “Okay. I trust you.” She tilts her head to the side. “Is that what you want to do when you get older?”
"I'm not sure what I want to do," she shrugs, "Something with colors, probably; I'm good with those. So maybe cosmetics or, like, designing of some sort."
She nods. “Yeah. I’ve just never dyed my hair. Well, not.myself anyway I guess.”
Ava smiles, “Well, don’t worry. You’re in good hands. I used to go to salons a lot, but I would do lots of touch-ups at home or help my mom out if she did hers by herself. And, I’ve been doing all the up-keep here at camp since I moved in.”
She follows after her, a bit hesitant. “Hopefully.”
"You alright?"
