Angelo Buono or as he insisted he be called, “The Italian Stallion”, along with his cousin Kenneth Bianchi killed ten women and children in the late 1970s. Buono owned an upholstery shop and was a divorced father of seven children. Despite being a self proclaimed “ladies man”, he was described by others as a cruel and hateful person who used intimidation and violence to get his way. 

He was a troublemaker from a very young age and developed a deep-seated hatred of women. His own mother he called a “whore” and a “cunt” and similarly treated his future wives and daughters in the same fashion. The hero of his youth was serial rapist Caryl Chessman, whom he looked up to and greatly admired. Buono ended up with a very similar rap sheet to Chessman by the time of his arrest in 1979, including robbery, kidnapping and rape.
