let me just say that the canon events in hatchetfield are just the most heartbreaking shit ever because like wdym jane dies in every timeline leaving tim and tom alone? or the fact that dukes dad died before the timeline split and so in half the timelines not only does he not have the love of his life but also his dad? and in the other half he doesn’t have his dad still. or the fact that grace chasity is destined to go insane with power every time?

So here's the thing - Run Away With Me is—in context of Killer Track—about Duke. BUT, it's from Holloway's past, presumably as a singer in the 80s, since it wipes everyone's memories. So, it technically can't be about Duke. So who is it about?

I need the Langs to make the Miss Holloway musical they've been teasing for a couple years now for a few reasons. One, I love Miss Holloway (if you couldn't tell), but also because of all the missing lore that I think about every second of every hour of every day.

Here's the basics: There's a bunch of canon events that seem to happen around 2002-2005. The outcome of one of those events causes the timeline split. From there we get all the different timelines. Miss Holloway is directly involved in one of those but I feel like she has a relation to the others.

What Happened (off the top of my head):

before everything else - MacNamara and Cross join P.E.I.P

after that - Wilbur Cross goes crazy

sometime 2005 - Wilbur Cross kills Duke's dad, Duke Senior

October 5th, 2005 - Hannah Foster is born

around 2005 - Miss Holloway and Wilbur Cross showdown - each win in half of all universes, part of the timeline split

My question is if these are all connected and what do they mean for Hatchetfield as a whole.

Also, did Miss Holloway know Duke's dad and that's something that influenced the fight? And where does McNamara fit in to all of this?

Miss Holloway, Wilbur Cross, and John McNamara are the 3 first human characters in the tarot deck, just underneath the lords in black and the white queen. I think this obviously means they're important.

anyways I need answers and I think the Miss Holloway musical can provide those thank you.

fun um. fun little thing for you! just imagine ms. holloway and duke closing up the diner and a cute 80s love song coming on and he asks her to dance and she says yes, and they dance and it's adorable

now imagine duke hearing that song some months later and not knowing why it feels like there's a memory attached to it, or why he wants to cry, because he's never danced to that song with anyone before, even though he can still feel someone's hand in his

I wonder if he ever dreams about a woman with big red hair and a jean jacket but wakes up and forgets about it. especially if the day before he experienced something like this

In half of all the universes, Duke doesn't have Miss Holloway. In half of all the universes, there are some kids he doesn't have the ability to save. In half of all the universes, he probably ends up with Ms. Meh. IN HALF OF ALL THE UNIVERSES, HE WILL NEVER MEET THE LOVE OF HIS LIFE.

In all universes though, wilbur cross murdered his dad. I don't know if he'll ever know how much that man has taken from him. A man he's probably never even met.

this may be insanely niche but idc. I was listening to the alice by heart soundtrack all day and I keep replaying another room in your head and ALL I CAN THINK ABOUT IS HOW WELL IT FITS WITH MISS HOLLOWAY AND DUKE.

like obvious differences with the fact that in another room in your head alfred will definitely disappear forever but it still fits insanely well with the idea that duke will forget miss holloway but miss holloway will probably never forget duke.

AND IT WORKS IN BOTH PERSPECTIVES. both of them can be alice or alfred's parts and it makes perfect senss.

like:

"will you dream its like always, haunting as always, you still there wanting my love?"

"will you dream im still watching, full of such longing, wanting so much still my love?"

Holloway seeing Duke has a gray hair and realizing that no matter how much Duke wants to stay with her, and how much she wants to stay with him, time and mortality will always pull them apart
