Exactly two years ago, I was at the worst place in my life.
My grandparents were leaving for the Philippines and I had the job of taking care of the house. Every responsibility, every chore, I had to do. It was a hot summer and I also had to take care of the dogs in my room that was also being used as a storage closet (still is to this day.) Unfortunately for them, they forgot to leave me enough food for the three weeks they were gone, and all I had was the money I had earned from work, minus what I already spent on bills.
For a week, I spent my days eating some cheesy chex mix my mom got me, and I didnāt tell her how I was doing cause she was already doing enough as it is. Then @micthemicrophone and @caerdwen happened.
They sent me aĀ ācaerā package filled with food.
I was bawling. I had actually food after so many days. And especially since no one was in the house, I could cook too! Iām not allowed to cook in this house, but it felt so good to finally do it again. I was so happy.
To this day, because of that moment in my life, I told myself I wouldnāt let anyone I care about go hungry. Whether I was financially unstable or whatever, if a friend needed food or money for groceries, I would help them with no second thoughts.
I still do that to this day, cause eating is very important. And HEY, if youāre reading this right now, I want you to go eat something today. Whether itās a bag of chips, a bow lof cereal, or some shitty ass Taco Bell, go get somethng in that cute belly of yours. It would mean everything to me if you did that.
