Why Work HARD When You Get Paid LESS...😎😝
Okay but ever since I learned that it's a popular fanon trope that Katara restarts Zuko's heart with bloodbending after the Last Agni Kai I can't stop thinking about it cause it would have been so perfect.
Like first of all, in the actual canon it's pretty vague how she manages to heal him and from what exactly (obviously getting struck by lightning but what specific injury was killing him?).
And then secondly, it would be such a perfectly executed, full-circle moment where this form of bending Katara was forced to learn against her will and that she is scared and ashamed of suddenly becomes something she'll be forever grateful for knowing, maybe even feeling some weird form of thankfulness to Hama for having forced her to learn, because without it she would've lost Zuko. It would be a curse that she turned into a gift, a weapon turned into a tool of healing.
It would parallel how Zuko (and Aang) formed a new, more positive relationship with firebending. Both of them saw fire as destruction and hatred, but learned that it is also a source of life and warmth. In the same way, Katara would learn that bloodbending is not just a means to reach into someones body and take control of them, to take away their agency and autonomy, it is also the gift that allowed her to save the life of her best friend after he sacrificed himself for her.
But noooooooooo bloodbending is inherently evil nevermind the pre-established theme of non-duality and separation being an illusion and that no form of bending is inherently good/bad or superior/inferior to any other. Bloodbending eviiiiiil always and there are no good uses for it because we here at Bryke incorporated have the imagination of a jellyfish.
i could not eat a dozen fried eggs and would never want to do so. but i almost certainly could accidentally eat a dozen deviled eggs if i was at a party or perhaps a picnic and they were there. they are a highly dangerous food item in this way

I actually do think we should discourage women from becoming housewives. Do not become financially dependent on a man. That's how a lot of women ended up dead over the years. A man gets violent suddenly and you have to choose between homelessness or potentially dying at his hand because you have an enormous gap in your resume and no degrees or certifications or anything that will help you pursue a career that will allow you to be financially independent. He owns your bank account. His name is probably the one on the car. Try and leave and he can report it stolen. Where will you go then?
Don't become a housewife.

man you really gotta give it up for skin, the best organ ever
what's keeping out practically every disease, infection, and contamination? skin
what's responsible for 90% of cooling you down when it's hot outside? skin
what can absorb radiation from the goddamn sun and somehow you only get hotter for it? skin
what organ can you decorate with paint, cosmetics, tattoos, and also use as a to-do list when you've got your wrist and a sharpie? SKIN BABEYYYY
practically every organ is annoying in some way. the human body is cursed. every bone and muscle is built spitefully and your immune system is halfway trying to kill you. but skin? skin is trying its very best and it's doing a great job of it. skin is healing up after the most fucked up stuff imaginable and growing back twice as strong because it loves you and wants to protect you. this is not a shitpost i just genuinely want more people to take a second to appreciate something about themselves they've always taken for granted
talk shit about acne all you want, but that infection would have been a death sentence if skin hadn't taken the hit for you so be nice
listen to me, this is so so important: you've gotta get used to really giving it your 60% as a default. like don't half-ass it necessarily but try not to go over 70% or so of an ass. you'll feel better and live a happier more fulfilled life, and on the rare occasions where you do need to lock the fuck in you'll be able to pull off bullshit that the sad miserable wretches giving it their 100% can never dream of, because they're busy draining themselves dry and you have energy reserves to spare.
It's absolutely crazy that intellectual labor can wipe you out. It seems like it shouldn't be a thing, like your stores of brain juice shouldn't be able to be depleted in that way.
I feel like a wizard that's out of spell slots, and to me that's a hackish mechanical limitation put in place to try to balance the classes.
