the summer is like well what if it was unbearable outside and you can't wear any cool jackets. and everyone's going to tell you that this is the best time of the year. and you're the crazy one

Bringing you more Bad Books and Immodest Pictures, your Impure Thoughts Stockpile was getting low.
this is what supernatural is like when they run out of lore after season 5 and they have to raise the stakes by just making shit up
summer olympics is normal sports such as basketball, gymnastics, swimming, cycling et cetera. winter olympics is a collection of the most insanely dangerous ways of interacting with snow and ice you’ve ever seen
watching the summer olympics like man i’m nervous about whether they’ll win and watching the winter olympics is like man i’m nervous about whether they’ll survive or die horribly
SINNERS 2025 | dir. Ryan Coogler
I can't get over how Sinners is such a rich text on assimilation and whiteness and the dangers of "civility" and music as a way to look both forward and back
And it's also a phenomenal vampire movie where a lot of hot people get covered in blood and there's a B plot about eating out girls
The funniest part of Sinners was when the Native Americans just said “yeahhh good luck with that”
I'd also love to get some Annie backstory because the only thing we know for sure is:
She and Smoke met when she was 18 and had their daughter at 22 (from an interview Wunmi did)
She learned rootwork from her grandmother (from the movie)
She was from Louisiana (from the movie/interviews)
We don't know anything about her childhood, how she grew up, who raised her, what her relationship was like with her parents/whoever raised her, where in Louisiana she was from, what brought her to Mississippi, how she and Smoke met, how she felt when she found out she was pregnant, what made her into the woman that we saw in the movie...none of that. And I'm curious! 😫
‘you put that cig out, you can hold her’
The problem: you are Michael Bublé, it is 2011 and you would like to make a Christmas album. Your producers want you to sing the classic Christmas song "Santa, Baby," but if you sing it as intended, it's gonna come off as, like, super gay
The proposed solution: you will rewrite the lyrics to the song to imply a platonic friendship between yourself and the man in red, making Santa a real bro who's gonna help you get laid by some hunnies, with cool, masculine gifts like a steel blue convertible, a yacht and tickets to a Canadian hockey game
The reality: the combination of the eroticism of your voice and the inherently sexual vibes of the song means you create a story about a closeted gay guy desperately repressing his desire to - as the kids say - fuck that old man, no homo'ing your way through asking him to trim your tree, promising you'll be such a good boy if he treats you well, and begging him to slide down your chimney
this is basically how it went right
Just watched the newest Knives out movie wake up deadman and spoilers but poor blanc he really spends a majority of the movie babysitting a catholic priest bc every time that man leaves his sight he is accidently finding a new crime scene or deciding he needs to confess to a crime he didn't commit
the "father, can i ask you something?" scene is one of the best tonal shifts i've seen lately. the way the scene changes from being chaotic, messy and hilarious into something so serious and important is so well written and performed. you can literally see the shift in the energy when she asks father jud if she can pray for him, and when he tells her that HE is with her instead of god... it's so well done !! the movie does a great job at highlighting the importance of faith in some people's lives while also criticizing what is reprehensible about religion, without attempting to change benoit blanc's disbelief in the church and religion at all. pretty neat.

"do it scared" is valuable advice but it'd also be SIIIICK and AWESOME if it stopped being scary at some point. any point
