If you don’t think Toko knows deeply about the art of fishing and all the ins and outs of what life would be like out on the water then you are wrong. Shes the SHSL author, of course shes going to know huge amounts of information about all the topics in her books. She could give you an in depth description of when and where the best places to fish are, and why thats the case, without any hesitation. I feel like people forget that girl is SMART, and there is so much info in that brain of hers we, unfortunately, barely get to see.
I think it really sucks that some shippers are so toxic that they caused two amazing Lighcannon cosplay duos to take down their content together :/ like wtf just sitck to your own ship and we'll stick to ours
I feel like everytime I regress into my Lightcannon brainrot it is significantly more intense and all-consuming than the last time. They are literally all I think about. My mind is full of explosions and light shows, and I think they might be the death of me.
I have finally gotten around to watching a playthrough of The Mageseeker and I am enjoying this Sylas redemption arc...but I will still never understand shipping him with Lux.
Am I crazy or out of the loop or something? Doesn't he just seem like nothing more than an older mentor to her? I physically cannot imagine them in a relationship it is so strange to me when I try. Like that is her second, more morally grey older brother, not her boyfriend.
I have just randomly seen a rise in Sylux content around lately and it is making me wonder if I am just truly too yuri-pilled for League and I am mentally incapable of picking up on these romantic undertones or if there just are none.
I hate when people characterize Syo as being the more masculine side of the system when she is LITERALLY the Cinderella of the slaughter flower garden. Like thats a princess right there. She is my beautiful, feminine, murderous princess and no one can take that away from me.
Plus, as someone who has played the game over 6 times now, I have always seen her as more girly than typically masculine. I feel like people just take her slightly unhinged attitude as masculine when I honestly read it more as hyper feminine. It really isn’t that big of a deal, but I get irrationally upset when she’s written OOC because shes genuinely one of my favorite characters of all time.
I understand Timebomb and their dynamic, but I really don't think I could get behind them being together in canon. I feel like a lot of people (even the writers honestly) forget the past Ekko and Jinx actually have with each other and where their priorities lie. Ekko has always been fighting for a better Zaun in his own way. He wants to protect people, to show them a better life, to save them. Jinx doesn't show any true interest in that outside of doing it for other people. She isn't a savior or a revolutionary on her own will; when she is faced with power and responsibility she hides away. Now, this difference is okay on it's own. If they really did just have clashing moral stances then that would be fine, but it goes deeper than that.
Jinx has killed Ekko's friends. She has canonically taken people he has known for years and bonded with and killed them without a second thought. Call me crazy, but I really don't think Ekko would get over this just to be in a relationship with her. I think he cares way too much to do that. He cares enough about Jinx to save her and to make sure she's okay, but he shouldn't just put everything she did behind him and I truly don't see why he would. They could be really good together, their relationship could have been perfect and everything could have been okay, but they are not and that's the point.
Bubbline shippers NEVER STOP WINNING!
Every few months I enter a like three day period where I get the most intense syomaru/tokomaru brainrot which causes me to replay the entirety of UDG, debate replaying THH as well before ultimately deciding against it, and then write half of a slightly incoherent full fledged fanfiction that is mostly just character analysis before my obsession ends
God they kill me.
“Besides you have absolutely no idea what I’m really like…there’s no way I’d say no, rather… thanks.” RAGGHH I will never stop caring about them
Oh how naive I was to believe this would last for only three days
Imagine the dread you’d feel attending Hopes Peak Academy when the time inevitably comes for your essay to be peer reviewed by the ultimate literary prodigy Toko Fukawa herself
In the corner of the class mumbling about all your mistakes…the sound of her pencil angrily scratching out your grammatical errors…the completely separate (and likely unwarranted) essay you’d get written on the back pointing out each and every one of your flaws…she would make every AP lang/lit students nightmare a reality
Happy birthday to my princesses Toko Fukawa and Genocider Syo!!! My two favorite characters of all time no matter what omg girls just one kiss please 🫶

I love the way Marceline almost exclusively calls Princess Bubblegum by either her first name or her nickname. It’s like yeah you are just casually that close with her, okay, whatever. Just call the ruler of the candy kingdom by your nickname for her thats cool.
It just makes it more impactful when Finn and Jake start calling her Bonnie though, and thats one of my favorite parts to notice in the later seasons. I love watching specifically Finn grow from this knight who feels indebted to PB into one of her closest genuine friends. I am so glad that Fionna and Cake explored their dynamic.
Sometimes I forget how funny the Adventure Time comics are until I reread them
Like come on that’s SO good
It also raises the question of whether or not Hynden Walch exists as an actual characters within the AT universe that Marcy just knows for some reason
But hey, if Teen Titans Go did it, Adventure time can too 🩷
I think one of the most interesting routes for another Adventure Time spinoff show would a jump back to the time just before/at the start of the mushroom war.
I would LOVE to follow Elise as a main character in this hypothetical spinoff. I just personally have always been so interested in her story ever since she was solidified as a character, especially her relationship with Hunson. According to Marcy’s Super Secret Scrapbook they did love each other and they stuck together on Earth when Marcy was born, but with the war and apparent turmoil in the Nightosphere they had to split up. I would just love to see how Elise even ended up with the lord of the demon realm, like, what a story, y’know?
It could also give us more backstory into Simon and how he handled the war and all that came before it. I know we have gotten a lot of insight into his past from the main show and Fionna and Cake, but I think following him could still prove to be super interesting. I think he’s just such a complex character, there’s no way to get too much Simon content. I also really love the idea of getting more insight into him and Betty’s relationship.
Patience St. Pim and the other elementals would also be SO interesting to hear and see more about also! I have always been curious about them and the roles they would play in a modern society. I feel like we just didn’t truly get enough information on them in the original show.
I just think instead of expanding the world of Adventure Time into the future it would be more interesting to focus on the past. We could explore the stories and experiences of characters that didn’t have the opportunity to get fleshed out enough in the original show but that are still such important parts of our mains, characters that I have been wondering about since the moment they got introduced. I know realistically this will never happen, but it’s super interesting to think about.
Oh fuck the concept of Shoko being a thief that died with so much regret and guilt that her soul was physically heavy with it resulting in Finn being an inherently and stubbornly loyal knight towards PB just shoot me at this point
A part of Adventure Time that I don't hear discussed nearly enough is the beautifully portrayed platonic soulmates that are Finn and PB. They helped each other form and evolve so much as people over the course of the show and none of it has to be directly expressed for it to be impactful. Bubblegum grows so much throughout the seasons and it's clear to see that Finn heavily impacts her with the strength of his morals and his heart. He teaches her how to let go of her power and to trust her kingdom and the other people around her to make decisions for themselves, as is evident in the episode centered around Goliad. Finn and PB's DNA creating such vastly different creatures was an amazing way to show their fundamental differences as people while also setting those differences up to be changed.
PB definitely impacted Finn as well in so many different ways, but I think the main one to me is that she virtually raised him. I wouldn't go as far to say that she is like a mother to him because I just cannot view their relationship in that way, but I do think she was a huge part in his development as just a human kid. I mean we see in the episodes about Lemonhope that she literally teaches him how to do math and probably all of his other subjects on top of that. She is the reason he actually knows how the world works.
Along with that though I believe she taught him how to not be entirely selfless. In the first season or two of Adventure Time we see Finn throw himself into dangerous situations with pretty much no plan, risking his life in order to save whoever it is that needs saving. I don't think for a second that he has lost that part of himself at the end of the show, but I do think he learns that he needs to balance himself and understand what's actually happening before he acts. Now that can be explained by the fact that he is actively growing up and maturing throughout the course of the series, yes, but I also think Bubblegum instilled that thought process onto him just by being around him. I truly think them growing up and learning together balanced them both out.
And to make all of that even better they meet and are friends in pretty much every universe/life! Finn as the butterfly landing on baby Bubblegum's hand, Shoko and PB having a super deep relationship, Finn and PB growing up with each other in the main story, Fionna and Gary being friends for years in Fionna and Cake, and even Bonnie in vampworld getting stuck with raising a baby Finn! Like what! They eat at my brain so much. I love that their relationship is so deep and complex while also being so platonic. They are such best friends and I think that holds true in every single world.
