The most racist fan you know is trying to convince you Michael didn’t love black women meanwhile this is one of the books in his collection of Black Literature. It’s so embarrassing knowing that there are nonblack fans who practically worship Michael Jackson but are incredibly racist to his Black fanbase and completely dismiss his blackness because it’s not palatable for them. Michael was a black man first before he was an entertainer and never shied away from uplifting his black women. This is evident in the way he portrayed us in his romantic music videos, making us his sole perception of beauty. If you are a nonblack fan, you cannot disrespect his women while idolizing him because he would not tolerate that behavior at all. Although Michael wanted to be accessible to all people, he was incredibly loyal and protective of the men, women, and children of his community. You cannot separate his Pro Black message from Michael because it is ingrained in his music, his philanthropic spirit, his videos, and his artistry. Remember the same man you obsess over lived through segregation, Jim Crow, and was the target of racially charged discrimination while touring the Deep South during his Jackson Five days. This is the same man who forced MTV into airing his music videos Billie Jean and Thriller during a time when Black artists weren’t allowed airtime. I abhor you to educate yourself, listen to his Black fanbase, and learn about his dedication to Black History.
