Summary:
It's one of the unwritten laws of Camp Lovers' Lake, as solid and immovable as the official rules. Curfew is at nine. No swimmers or boats are allowed past the buoys.
And Steve Harrington does not go in the water.

Or: Three times Eddie wonders what Steve's secret is, one time he learns, and one time he finds out a lot more.
Addams Family Steddie AU Part 3
Part One | Part Two
To preface, a bitch is sick rn so if you see any typos, no you didn't lol
"Robin, this is serious."
Steve can perfectly see Robin rolling her eyes through the phone as she says, "Oh, right, I'm so sorry your fiance-to-be is the perfect boyfriend who takes you on wonderful dates and romances you every single second you're together."
"I'm starting to think you're jealous."
"I'd only be jealous if Eddie had tits."
"He'd probably get some if I asked."
In the silence that follows, Steve can imagine Robin's scrunched face: her crinkled nose and curled lips and generally disgusted eyebrow furrow. He counts down from six in his head and then mouths along as Robin says, "I'd hang up if I weren't so invested in your love life."
"For someone so invested, you're not helping."
He hears a put-upon sigh through the speaker and returns it with a sigh of his own. Steve gives up on sitting properly and collapses back onto his bed, staring at the unmoving ceiling fan Hulyet is currently hanging from to nap.
"Fine, fine, what's the actual problem again?" Robin asks, her question followed by the sound of her shutting a book (one of her science textbooks based on the sound it makes when closing) so she can give Steve her full attention.
"Eddie is always planning our dates, and they're always really good, right? So I want to plan a date in return, but I have no clue how to plan something we'll both equally enjoy. In fact, I have no clue how Eddie plans our dates in the first place."
"Just start with something he likes and try to find something you'll like in it."
"Okay, say it again, but pretend I'm five."
Robin sighs again, and Steve hears the creaking of her bed as she collapses onto it. "Okay, the last date he planned, it was a hockey game, right?"
"Yeah."
"So, you like sports. Hockey is an obvious jump from there, but was Eddie also having fun at the game?"
Steve hums, reviewing their date from the week before. He hadn't expected Eddie to pull out hockey tickets, but he'd looked forward to it nonetheless. The game itself was fun, and the rink was cold enough that Steve had been able to scoot closer to Eddie and complain about being chilly.
Of course, Eddie's immediate response was to pull out a lighter, open it, and flick a flame to life while asking, "How big of a fire do you want, Stevie?"
For a brief moment, Steve had considered the question. But then he'd realized a fire would disrupt the hockey game, so they probably shouldn't start one.
After grabbing the lighter and stuffing it into his own pocket, Steve leaned closer and whispered, "Wouldn't you rather put your arm around me?" Eddie had lit up, and his smile was wide enough to make Steve feel blinded as he wrapped an arm around Steve's waist and pulled him closer.
It had been wonderful and romantic, right up until both of them got way too into the game and completely forgot about cuddling in favor of shouting at the players to hit harder and actually draw some blood to get the puck.
Steve smiles a little at the memory. "Yeah, he enjoyed the violence."
"Well, we all enjoy seeing buff people get a little bloody," Robin says, and Steve can see the way she's nodding like a wise man. "Anyway, he probably knew he'd enjoy the whole violence part of the sport. So, follow that formula."
"What formula are you seeing here?"
"Thing fiance-to-be likes plus a small part of it you could probably enjoy equals romance. If that's too hard, just get him a gift and plan the date around that."
Well, it sounds easy when she says it like that. "Why didn't I think of that?"
"Because I'm the genius here, obviously. Now go plan a date so you can tell me all about it later. And I expect details, Steven. Sordid details. If I'm not quivering in my bodice, what's the fucking point."
"You don't even have a bodice. And my name isn't Steven."
"I'll get one, and your name is whatever's comedically appropriate."
"I found a good website for bodices and corsets, actually. I can send it to you."
"What are you doing on that website, Steve?" Robin asks, her voice light and eager.
Steve smirks, pulling the phone away from his ear and saying, "Wouldn't you like to know," before quickly hanging up. The phone stays silent for three whole seconds before Robin immediately calls back, but Steve is too busy laughing to actually pick up.
idk he likes more 🤷 🩷💜💙
There seem to be some trouble at the Hawks Inn, but maybe Sheriff Steve can get the upper hand....who knows?

I love whole the idea of Steve being vaguely attracted to guys in like a "Boys? Eh, I guess" kind of way
And then he gets to know Jonathan and is like "Maybe boys??? Maybe??"
And then he gets to know Eddie and it's like a lightbulb moment when he realizes that "Oh, weird boys. Weird, dramatic, nerdy boys."
steve harrington collects lighters as a hobby. he has a special antique collection of them and he loves showing them to people. plus you know, he looks cool when he lights his cigarettes. he whips one of his lighters out and hopes someone comments on it so he can talk about it
the background story behind his collection is that his grandfather (the one that he name drops in his college essay) otis harrington gave him his first collectible lighter. it was one that he carried with him when he was fighting in ww2 and steve thought that it was the coolest thing ever
Drag Queen Steve and Drag King Robin have a whole routine they perform together during drag nights at their local gay bar.
(They get a lot of mileage out of the fact that Steve’s the one people used to call “King.”)
Can you imagine how excited Eddie would be about the Dungeons and Dragons movie?
Like it looks fantastic and it also has Rege Jean Page AND Chris Pine?? This gay fool would be feral
anyhow I fucking did it, I feel for a big ship in an even bigger fandom drama and all included
do i get a shirt now?
[The day of Joyce and Hopper’s wedding]
Steve: I guess we're both going solo to the wedding.
Eddie: Yeah, I guess so.
Steve: We're both going drag.
Eddie: I think it's stag.
Steve: Hmm?
Eddie: Never mind.
I see lots of things about genderfluid or genderqueer Steve, and i love them and protect stevie with all my heart, but have you ever considered drag queen Steve?
Steve realized he was bisexual while working at Starcourt (he crushed so hard on that one instructor with the blonde hair) and came out to Robin a bit after the Russian/Mind Flayer business. One night, Robin brings up the idea of going to the gay bar a town over. After an hour of whining, bargaining, and blackmailing, Steve reluctantly agrees to go with Robin. He drives, tense and stiff, while Robin bounces off the wall with anxiety and excitement. When they get there, they manage to get in (with their fake ids) and make their way to a table. Robin neglected to tell Steve that it was drag night and THAT is why she wanted to go. But he isn't complaining.
In fact, Steve is in AWE. He watches drag queen after drag queen, finding himself drawn to the idea of being loud and boisterous and fabulous and the best version of your inner you. He knew he was in touch with his feminine side, but now he's wondering if this feminine side could be as fabulous and attention-grabbing as these wonderful people on stage. Robin looks over at Steve only to find him looking like a kid on Christmas morning. On the drive home she asks Steve if he likes it. He says yes nonchalantly. Then she asks if he would ever try it. Steve shrugs noncommittally, not giving her an answer. A week later she shows up with a bag full of makeup, clothes, and heels she somehow found in his size, begging him to indulge her. Acting as irritated as possible, he takes the bag and goes to figure this out, secretly giddy inside. By the end of the night, Robin and Steve have created her. Bold eyeshadow, soft shadows, big hair, sparkly blue heels and all, Steve admits he wants this to continue. Robin is head-over-heels excited, agreeing to help Steve get the stuff he needed and put together outfit ideas.
Within a couple months, Steve is at the bar weekly, having been taken under the wings of the other queens and loving his life as Baby Da Sista (name courtesy of a drunk night with Robin filled with babysitter Steve jokes) One fateful night, Eddie "The Freak" Munson walks in, sending off every alarm in Robin. Eddie knows Steve, who doesn't. Eddie knows Robin, they had a class together last year. Eddie doesn't know Baby. And he isn't supposed to. No one is. But Steve goes through the routine, and as far as Robin can tell, Eddie doesn't recognize him. In fact, Eddie is obsessed with the pretty queen with big hair, long legs, and bold eyeshadow. A queen they had called Baby. For months, he tries to figure out who Baby is outside the bar. But everyone protects Steve. They make it damn hard for Eddie to figure it out. All is well and good. Until Vecna.
Eddie and Steve grow closer after Vecna. And Eddie feels so guilty, because he's still obsessed with Baby, just as much as he is with Steve. But he knows there is no way Steve will reciprocate those feels. Or that's what he tells himself. Frustrated, unable to sleep, and needing a drink, Eddie is off to the bar, just needing to see Baby. Every time he's there, lately, it seems like Baby is singing to him. It seems like Baby wants his attention. He gets there, gets a drink, and finds a spot close to the stage. About half an hour passes before they finally introduce Baby Da Sista, the queen waltzing her way into the stage. Eddie is entranced, watching her. She swoons and dances and lip syncs, wandering the stage. Finally, half way through, she dips toward Eddie and his breathing stops. Those eyes are the same brown ones that stare at him from the passenger seat when they pickup Dustin, the same as the ones that have had him entranced for weeks. Before him, is Steve fucking Harrington.
Eddie let's it be for a few days, waiting till they're 100% alone. Steve is playing with Eddie's hair, trying to braid it back, while Eddie messes around on his bass. Taking a deep breath, Eddie asks "So, Baby, what is the next set for this Wednesday? More Madonna?" And Steve freezes. Hands shaking, anxiety swelling up, all he can say is "I can explain-" before being cut off by Eddie, saying "Don't worry Steve. I think it's hot. I've been in love with Baby for months, and with you for weeks." It takes Steve a couple days to get used to it. A few weeks later, him and Eddie are official. And Eddie squeals internally whenever he goes to steve's house to find him half dressed, parading around in his sparkly blue heels, planning a new rountine. Because Steve is his. Baby is his. And Steve is happier than ever.

Ugh HONESTLY the thought of Steve being the hottest suburban mom. Like he dyes his hair blonde and lets it grow out so he ties it back with a scrunchie and he's basically raising all the kids so he cooks them dinner and makes their lunches (he does cute, healthy things like cut up veggies for them but also has treats in there too) and he washes their clothes and helps them with their homework. And he thinks nothing of it, like this is what he's always done. But he likes it too, being needed in this way, and of course Eddie would think it's the fucking hottest thing and would always be coming over when the kids are at school to try and get Steve into bed and fuck that peachy ass he's always flaunting in his tight jeans.
