Zabuza isn’t just a bloodthirsty monster. Zabuza isn’t just a bloodthirsty monster. Zabuza isn’t just a bloodthirsty monster.  Zabuza isn’t just a bloodthirsty monster.  My boy was a product of his own environment which he wanted to change, he had a Legend and a named Pinned to him because he would do anything to get closer to his goal to become the Mizukage. He was anti-social and didn’t know how to properly show his damn emotions.  Zabuza was a product of the environment the bloody mist gave him. He was noted as a mongrel and treated like trash his entire damn life. He had casual moments, mostly shared with Haku but he wasn’t just a damn monster. Throughout the manga, he talked about wanting change and becoming the mizu.  Throughout the game, he legit wouldn't shut up about it.  He was more than bloodlust and mindlessness.

“Long time no see brat.” His voice echoed around them as he slipped next to her, not much changed about him since they last met on that bridge so long ago. Aside from the obvious, that moment, when he took down that bastards Gato, was the moment that solidified his decision. He didn’t beat around the bush during that span of time Kakashi and the kids left, no, the second he healed he had it set in his mind that he’s change Kiri for the better of the people. No more class systems that drastically ruined the lives of others, less orphans running the streets ect. Now he met her as the Mizukage, he met her as someone who has bettered themselves.

Now his graveled voice was home to dry humor and the occasional laughter that would surprise his assistants and advisors to this day.

These kids, if it wasn’t for them. God only knows where he’d be right now, so seeing the familiar pop of pink walking into his office would be a surprise for both. “What bring you to Kiri? “ @shannarc

This is lady Mei, the previous Mizukage. She was part of the war effort towards the end of the Great Ninja War, and later, helped lay the foundation for the village’s growth and expansion.

―He was supposed to be dead, very dead… But it seems like Zabuza couldn’t escape his fate, not even in such a morbid way. He remembered clawing out of his grave, that first delightful gasp of air that expanded his lungs as he hunched over fresh dirt. He remembered the grave next to his, the long wait- it was days… He waited days for Haku to do the same before growing wary and digging into the dirt with his bare hands till he met the wrapped form of his child.

He didn’t understand it, why was he allowed to come back but Haku stayed there, beautiful, motionless. He showed weakness, holding the kid to his chest as he hunched over the frail body with choked cries. Everything important, gone in that instant. He should have stayed in the ground. Instead he covered the grave back up and grabbed his sword from his own. The dirt was shaken off as he walked his new path.

He still had the same goal, things were just- different. He was different.

It was Kakashi who would take him by surprise, he found the man not too far off from their graves. Was he, visiting? Did he feel remorse? @ravagd

He glares at Zabuza. Can’t he and Mei have o n e conversation where they don’t fight with each other. Mei always refuses to back down and Zabuza is the same : it drives him crazy. He has to deal with either of them. Kisame scoffed when Zabuza attempted to dismiss him. As if he is going to leave just because he wishes it. No, he will STAY just to annoy the other.

    “Mei may be strong, but she isn’t strong enough to see through your blood thirst. Why she BOTHERS with you in BEYOND my understanding.”

Is that what they wanted? Bloodthirst? Everyone seemed to want that from him lately, he may as well live up to the name he was given after the water brat died. Zabuza stood, without saying a damn word, he charged. The man known as a mongrel found himself tackling the shark to the ground as his hands fisted in his vest.

There it was, that famous frenzied look that Zabuza could get. The look that people could push him to as he slammed the other man down against the ground. “IS THIS WHAT YOU WANTED HOSHIGAKI!? DID YOU WANT A MONSTER?! I can give you one real fast.” He growled, giving one last shove before he got back up, flexing his fists before storming back off. Kisame got a rise out of him, a damn good one. But he wasn’t going to give him the bloodshed the other man wanted. Not out of respect for him, but out of pure stubborn will as he gnashed his teeth behind those wraps that covered his mouth.

That was beside the point, Kisame was disturbing his peace. “Leave me be Hoshigaki. I’m not here for you to nag at me, you're not my superior and neither is she.”
