Hey if anyone’s looking for some dope lgbt/fantasy comics there’s two that I’m really enjoying on Tapas~

The Flying Ship by Jem Milton:

Main character is attracted to girls (dunno if bi or lesbian) and awesome storyline! And the gay scenes are so adorable!

Mistlands by Laya Rose:

Main character is aro-ace, side character is ace, and other possible lgbt characters tho I can’t remember for sure (been a bit since I’ve read it) (and on Tumblr~ @mistlandscomic)

Also High Class Homos by momozerii on Instagram- super cute and awesome and totally worth reading! Has trans, bi, lesbian, gay characters (like every main character is lgbt)

Do you have any works specifically sett in Australia/New Zealand?

Sure! Emily O’Beirne did a post for the site on on Australian YA, which you should definitely check out: https://lgbtqreads.com/2016/09/26/ways-to-fill-a-gap-lgbtqia-representation-in-australian-ya-a-guest-post-by-emily-obeirne/ (including her books). Erin Gough also has a new f/f YA, Amelia Westlake, which I assume is set in Australia, though I haven’t read it yet. In New Zealand, there’s Dare, Truth or Promise by Paula Boock, which I think holds up quite well despite being an older title.

For works older than YA, try Storm Season by Pene Hanson, Out of Rhythm by Shona Husk, and Long Macchiatos and Monsters by Alison Evans!

Here’s a little bit of concept art (poster style I guess?) I made for my honors year project, a short webcomic called Overgrown! I’m really excited about it (and I’ve barely started development). I’ll be posting a lot of stuff on my patreon as well as a bit here. This is also the reason why Mistlands is on an extended hiatus.

For those of you wondering why the hiatus is longer than expected - I’m working on my major project comic. This will (assuming everything goes as planned..) be finished by October and then I should be back to posting Mistlands! (I’m still working on pages, slowly.)

Kelpies are much faster transport through faerie. Though I wouldn’t recommend going anywhere near one that’s not in the seelie queen’s herd.....

I'm afraid I'm going to have to go on a bit of a hiatus after this! I still have two uni assignments, as well as zinefest coming up this week, and haven't had any time to work on the next pages :/ hopefully after that though! Will let you know asap, hopefully it'll only be a few weeks, and I'll get back two twice-weekly after that.
