you are a blacksmith who works in a small shop in the capital. the princess in terrible disguises has been asking for the most wild and impractical weapons. You fulfill the orders regardless and even make them as functional as possible. But one day she came again but with a retinue and the king
But for me, instead of a blacksmith it's a silversmith and instead of a princess and a king it's a lady and her father the Nobleman. Hah! Already had a draft of it. It's comedy, romance and historical. It would be good to be turned into a comics or a web novel tho.
🎆Observing the Voices: Insights from the FSP EN Karaoke Relay🎆
Watching the FSP EN karaoke relay this New Year was more than just listening to songs—it was experiencing emotions, personalities, and musicality unfold in real time. As someone who loves music and singing, I couldn’t help but notice the subtle details that made each performance unique. Along the way, I found myself imagining song choices, collaborations, and small growth ideas for each performer—not as critique, but as gentle observations that might help highlight their voices even more.
❤️Lucien: Joy Unfiltered
Lucien’s energy was bright and contagious. Normally stoic and calm, tonight he burst with kawaii energy, showing that even the most composed performers have moments where pure joy shines through. His reaction to my presence—shouting with happiness and fist-pumping when I liked his video—was tiny but full of authenticity.
Song Type: Soft, nuanced pieces that challenge flexibility
Why: Lucien has already showcased vocal range and versatility. Softer, nuanced songs can help him refine technique, especially when transitioning between notes (passaggio), avoiding strain on higher notes.
Coaching Insight: Mindful transitions and controlled phrasing will expand his expression while maintaining vocal health.
Potential Impact: Strengthening this aspect can make performances even more polished while keeping his natural joy and energy intact.
---
💜Nayu: Playful, Characterful, and Engaging
Nayu’s naturally adorable voice subtly reached out tonight. His quiet emotional reaction when I appeared fully ready after self-care showed sensitivity and awareness.
Song Type: Playful Japanese songs; eventually, more complex, nuanced pieces
Why: Expanding his vocal scale will allow him to explore deeper themes and nuanced techniques, making his performances more versatile.
Coaching Insight: Exercises to extend range and flexibility can help him take on more emotionally layered pieces safely.
Potential Impact: Broadening range and expression will let him surprise fans with new dimensions of his voice while keeping his natural charm.
---
💚Ash: Atmospheric and Layered
Ash’s song choices reveal a love for music with atmosphere. He immerses himself emotionally in intermissions and pauses, connecting deeply with the performance. His voice would also shine in ballads, blues, or jazz, allowing his soulful tone to resonate.
Song Type: Atmospheric songs, ballads, blues, jazz
Why: Songs that allow space for nuance and phrasing will highlight his depth while still leaving room for playful surprises.
Coaching Insight: Focusing on dynamic control and subtle phrasing can enhance expressiveness without losing authenticity.
Potential Impact: Fans experience a multi-layered performer, combining emotional immersion with unexpected charm.
---
💙Caelen: Meditative Flow
Caelen’s voice carries a meditative quality. I couldn’t resist softly echoing the last line of a song, which he found unexpectedly touching.
Song Type: Smooth melodic songs that emphasize phrasing and flow
Why: His voice is strong and youthful with good stamina. Refining mic technique ensures belted sections remain pleasant to the audience.
Coaching Insight: Awareness of distance from the mic during belts will make listening more comfortable and polished.
Potential Impact: Improved mic control will make his meditative style even more immersive and enjoyable.
---
❤️🔥Malim: Raspy Growl and Rock Potential
Malim’s raspy growl, controlled tone, and technical range make him perfect for songs requiring depth and intensity. Free! OST would suit him better than Ash due to his tonal qualities. Exploring rock and metal rock could also showcase his fiery vocals.
Song Type: Atmospheric OSTs, rock/metal rock (Evanescence, Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance)
Why: His voice thrives in emotionally intense, fast-paced songs. Focus on tempo and syllable accuracy enhances performance.
Coaching Insight: Matching energy to tempo and exploring rock nuances can reveal his full vocal potential.
Potential Impact: Malim can combine technique and raw energy to create unforgettable performances.
---
💙Altus: Embrace Unique Tone
Altus is still exploring singing. Embracing his natural accent and tone, rather than resisting it, will allow him to make songs fully his own. Developing vibrato adds nuance to his emotional interpretation.
Song Type: Any genre he feels drawn to
Why: Owning tone and expression ensures performances are unique and memorable.
Coaching Insight: Practicing vibrato and stylistic nuances will expand expressive range.
Potential Impact: Altus’ individuality will shine through in every song he performs.

Gale shows versatility but sometimes struggles with pitch stability, especially on note landings. Slower-paced, soulful ballads will allow him to refine technique and express emotion fully.

Why: Developing muscle memory and accurate pitch control strengthens performance confidence.
Coaching Insight: Focused exercises on pitch memory and note landing stability will improve technical security.
Potential Impact: Improved control and expressiveness will deepen audience connection.

Ryzar’s surprising range, including high notes, makes him ideal for complex, introspective songs.
Song Type: Self-reflective, emotionally layered songs
Why: Challenging themes will highlight emotional depth and vocal capability.
Coaching Insight: Select pieces that stretch emotional storytelling and technical ability for growth.
Potential Impact: More nuanced performances that leave audiences emotionally engaged.

Liron benefits from understanding his range and embracing it. Carefully interpreting higher-scale songs will expand repertoire safely.
Song Type: Songs within his range, with creative arrangements for higher notes
Why: Safe interpretation prevents strain while unlocking more performance options.
Coaching Insight: Customized arrangements and creative reinterpretation help him maintain tastefulness while exploring new territory.
Potential Impact: Unlocking repertoire with care strengthens artistry and vocal health.

Closing Reflections
The FSP EN karaoke relay reminded me that music is more than notes and lyrics—it’s emotion, presence, and connection. Observing each performer revealed nuances that make their voices unique and ways they engage with music and audience alike.
Even as a fan, I found myself softly singing along, echoing melodies, and syncing with tempo to support them. Music is a shared experience, and subtle gestures—like softly echoing a line, a smile, or a fist-pump—create a space where performer and listener meet emotionally.
The relay showed that gentle observation can highlight strengths and inspire growth, and that music thrives on both expression and care. For me, this reinforced why I love singing, listening, and imagining possibilities: it’s a reminder that music is alive, and every note, nuance, and interaction leaves an impact.
I've been itching to buy some new waterpens set in 24 colors... they're stress free for my broke budget wallet since waterbased ones can still be revived with water while alchohol based ones dry up on their own even if I haven't used them much. ಡ ͜ ʖ ಡ
And I can't even buy them refills...since they're alchohol based. *Pulls out hair.*
Jimmy was sleepy as he poured water on a basin. It was in their apartment, with his roomate Daniel, in the late afternoon.
Samantha the-girl-next-door barged in the flat, then watched Jimmy as he tore open a pack of store-bought instant noodles. He poured all the contents, plastic-packed seasonings and all.
Her hair stood on their ends and watched in horror as her classmate nonchalantly closed the basin with a lid. She placed her grocery bags on the kitchen counter and swatted him on the head. "What do you think you're doing?!"
He flinched. "Lunch."
She opened the lid and took out the seasonings in plastic one by one. She opened them and mixed them with the water. She read the noodle wrapper.
"This is for cooking! Why are you preparing it as if it's a cup version?"
He frowned. "I can do whatever I want with my noodles. Plus, it saves time. Now," he said, "leave it for three minutes." He took the lid from her and closed it again. Then he put his hands together and solemnly closed his eyes.
Sam rolled her eyes. "What's with that?"
"Shh, don't you see? I'm praying."
"Geez, the water's not even hot." Samantha sighed.

**Spoiler: Zanny + Jelly chaos ahead!**
°•°•°•°•°•°•
Drunk. Vegas. Wedding.
Yep, that's what he said. And even though he said it as a joke, Zander Netherbrand didn't think it would happen until he woke up with a terrible headache, throat dry, and blurry vision.
Wearing his tux, he had driven himself into a drunken stupor at a party last night, starting whatever adventure he had as a 'fever dream'.
Where he met a silly drunken girl, cracked a few jokes, and had a few drinks, and then thought they had found their perfect match...
Sitting up on the uneven mattress, he ran a hand through his blonde, disheveled hair, his strands snagging on the brackets of his ring.
Ring.
He looked down at it, seeing the golden band with a sparkly diamond...
'Yours should have a stone too, since you are fabulous!'
"What...?" He squinted at it, the stone shining under the dim light. But enough of that, he needed to hydrate. Right now.
Looking around, he saw the silhouette of a lady, lying in bed next to him.
Her satin, silky short dress shimmered under the lamplight, her feet still in heels. Her face was covered in long curly, brown hair, and Zanny approached her unconscious form as if to avoid waking up the Medusa.
He lifted some of her hair to peer into her face.
"Ow." she squinted, her eyes closing shut. "The light..."
Zanny returned the hair back to its place. "Oh, sorry."
He stood up and walked about the room, stretching his arms above his head as he approached the phone by the bedside table.
"Hello, room service? Yes, I'd like to order some good hangover food. Yes, breakfast...fine. Soup, water...yes, we are in room number...shoot, what number was it again?"
'Maybe I should’ve written this down instead of trusting my brain after tequila shots… genius idea, Zander.'
The lady in bed began to groan, shifting uneasily as she covered her mouth with a hand with a sound.
Oh no. That sound.
"...and some extra towels, please. All right, byebye." Zanny put down the phone. He hovered over her, a bit of panic setting in.
"Um, darling, I'll help you into the bathroom, okay?" He held her shoulders and helped her sit up gently, watched her gain her footing, before letting her stand and walk to the bathroom she leaned on him.
The woman saw the open toilet bowl and she kneeled down in front of it, puking her guts out. Zanny gathered her hair and held it away from the bowl, worry etching on his face.
‘Nothing like holding someone’s hair over a toilet to start a romantic morning… smooth, Zander, really smooth.’
After a few minutes of hurling up the food and alcohol she consumed, Zanny heard a knock on the door.
"Come in." He called out. Food came and the staff handed him some extra towels before leaving.
"Happy honeymoon, sir."
Zanny gave the woman a towel, and she wiped her mouth clean. She shut the toilet bowl and flushed it herself...before standing up to wash her face by the sink.
Zanny left her and helped himself to some water to hydrate...his eyes turning to the bucket of ice, a bottle of champagne cooling inside it.
"Huh."
"H-hi..." The woman said quietly, giving him a sheepish smile. She was standing by the door barefoot, her hands holding the doorpost for support. Before Zanny could say another word, her eyes landed on the food before her and she shuffled up to it, sitting by the couch and reached out for the soup, her hands trembling in hunger.
Zander took the spoon for her. "The soup is still hot, let me. You might spill it all over yourself, love." He scooped up a spoonful of soup and blew on it, letting it cool down. Then he gave it to her. "Say ah, darling."
‘Who even writes a manual for feeding hungover brides? Certainly not me, but here we are.’
The woman obediently slurped the soup, cooperating quite well. Zanny tucked away a strand of her locks behind her ear, noticing how soft it feels to the touch.
"By the way, my dear, what's your name?"
"Um...Jillian. But you can call me Jelly."
Zanny chuckled. "Jelly, you say? Just like a Netherling." His eyes wandered to her hand, her ring finger wearing a matching diamond ring.
"Don't tell me...You watch him too?" Jelly asked.
"Watch who?"
"Zander. Zander Netherbrand?"
"Um...oh." Zanny said. He didn't know what to say. "My days."
Jelly giggled out of the blue. "Last night was crazy, no? What are the odds. We shared a Vegas wedding and I agreed to marry you because I figured you sound just like Zanny."
"Excuse me?"
Jelly frowned and placed a hand on her temple. "Oh, my head hurts."
Zanny gave her a glass of water, gears turning in his head as he tried to process what she just said.
'The wedding was real? We drove to Vegas and got married? For real? Next time, maybe Vegas for blackjack only… weddings require sobriety. Note to self.'
Zanny stood up and checked his pockets, trying to recall the papers last night. Out came receipts, coins, casino tokens from Vegas...and then the folded paper.
Opening it carefully, Zanny read the fine print with squinty eyes as he felt around his collar for his reading glasses.
"Hmmm...lawfully wedded? My god."
‘Ah, the moment I’ve waited for… or maybe the moment I’ve been dreading. Either way, public humiliation level: Netherling approved.’
Zanny looked at Jelly in a mix of awe and disbelief. "That wasn't a priest. It was a freaking judge."
Jelly didn't mind him much as she tried to massage her temples, pouting in pain and discomfort. "Hmmm...augh."
Zanny came to her aid, sitting next to her as he tried to comfort her by massaging her temples. "It's okay, Jelly. Just tell me your username and I'll share mine."
Jillian then turned to him and whispered it in his ear. "...that's my username."
Zanny’s eyes grew wide. "Oh wow, darling. You truly are a Netherling. I've seen your name in chat."
"Mmhm. So what's yours?"
"Mine? Well, it's..." He leaned close and whispered it in her ear, smiling. He leaned back just enough to gauge her reaction.
As expected, Jillian's eyes grew wide in surprise. Then she turned to look at him...and then glanced at his arms. His arms were still covered in sleeves, so she gently unbuttoned his cufflinks and rolled them up.
As she saw his veiny arms before her, she grew still. "Oh. Zanny?"
"Yes?"
Jillian's mind pinged and dots in her brain connected, making her turn away and cover her face with her hands, stifling her sobs and groans of frustration.
"Wait, darling—what's wrong?" Zanny asked her.
"I...I ruined it!"
"Ruined what?"
"I...the...um...THE FIRST IMPRESSION!"
"HUH?"
Jelly turned around, looking at him with teary eyes. "First impression you'll have of me is terrible! You saw me all ugly as I puked and everything!"
"Ah?" Zanny said, caught off guard. He shook his head after a moment and placed a hand over hers. "That's not my first impression of you, my dear. Remember how vibrant and lively you were last night? How beautiful and mesmerizing you are under the moonlight?"
Jelly grew silent.
Zanny chuckled. "That's when I knew I wanted to get to know you better, darling. Ah, even if the way things turned out aren't for the light of heart, but in spite of my unstableness to actually try to be in a relationship...I do genuinely am interested. Will you allow me the privilege of doing so, my sweet Jelly?"
Jillian's breath was held suspended. "I...I would love to, Zanny. No other girl would be the happiest to get to know you, my tempting succubus."
