To think that Jess and Rory are meant to be is pure blindness of the reality. Jess is still in love with Rory, but she hasnāt been for a lonnnng time, and I think that the people who are Team Jess are just hanging on to a teenage love. Her love for him was already over when she met Logan at Yale. When they kissed in season 6, I think Rory was just full of nostalgia. And that was it for her. 10 years later she sees him as a friend and thatās it. And itās not like Luke and Lorelai. They donāt see each other that much. Thereās no will they/wonāt they. Rory has completely moved on and Jess is not in her life anymore.
To think that Logan is some kind of villain or a Rory version of what Christopher is to Lorelai is seeing things on first degree and itās the easy version. Thereās definitely still love between them, and Rory couldnāt give all of her love to him for many reasons. Maybe thereās some guilt about what happened in S7. Also, sheās still struggling career-wise and thatās what blocked her then. And Logan has grown up and knows his responsibilities well and he might be scared of what life with Rory entails vs. what life with his fiancĆ©e (and the ādynastyā) entails. The latter is the easy and the āresponsibleā one. The life with Rory would be unpredictable, even though theyāve known each other for years.
I firmly believe that Logan is in love with Rory and that the pregnancy is the thing that would āwake him upā about his priorities. He is not Christopher and he is not 16.
Rory might act otherwise and not choose a life with Logan. After all sheās been quite unpredictable in the revival. But Logan is not the bad person that Christopher was. Their cheating thing is fucked up, sure, but it wouldnāt be this way if they didnāt care for each other.
(Maybe this text post makes no sense at all itās almost 3am thank you)
