DON’T FORGET FLINT: The people of Flint, Michigan still don’t have drinkable tap water, and Little Miss Flint wants to make sure people don’t forget. She’s running a fundraiser to sell 1,600 “Don’t Forget Flint” shirts aimed at keeping awareness of the water crisis in Flint fresh in people’s minds.
All of the proceeds from this fundraiser will go towards giving Christmas to the children in Flint, as well as to anti-bullying programs in Flint.
Purchase a “Don’t Forget Flint” shirt here. Then share this post with your followers and let’s help Mari reach her goal today!
Mari is 192 shirts away from her goal! Please keep sharing, and buy a shirt if you haven’t!
As of 6:30pm EST 11/19 she is 160 shirts away from the goal and has 5.5 hours remaining to sell them. Please reblog, share, and order if you can!!!
anti-sjws for the last 10 years: feminazis, feminazis, feminazis, feminazis, nazi nazi, sjw's are nazis, nazi nazi nazi, grammar nazi, feminazi feminazi
normal sensible attractive people: these real life people are actually real life nazis and hold nazi beliefs and want to kill minorities
anti-sjws: thats pretty fucking fucked up that you just call anything you disagree with a nazi, like i think thats pretty wild of the 'tolerant left' to do

Straight men who infantilize women’s friendships have no fucking survival instinct. Like my uncle is always making fun of and rolling his eyes at my aunt’s friend lunches and telephone dates with her lady friends, teasing her like she’s a gossipy teenage girl in high school drama. And my aunt just laughs about it but I know for a fact that if it wasn’t for her best friend K, she would have probably set him on fire by now.
Like straight men are capable of maybe a quarter of the indepth emotional labor and support women do for each other. Like men can literally have one friend named Bob that they go fishing with once a year and still be content for life. Then they think it’s cute and girlish that their wives have these long term, integrated, emotionally intense relationships with women but like…LOL, it’s not because men don’t need those kinds of relationships, it’s just that they get it all from their wives while offering peanuts in return. PEANUTS.
Like if your woman is on the phone for 2 hours with her friend and you think that’s childish of her, just know that she spent half of that time getting the support that you should be giving her (but are incapable of) and the rest lamenting what a giant fucking baby manchild you are.
i think the thing that makes me angriest about the entire culture of people being forced to set up online fundraisers for things like medical treatments and basic necessities is that at least 99% of the people who donate are people who are ALSO struggling but just slightly less, people who think “well i was saving this $20 for lunch this week but this person who needs chemo could probably use it more”, while a single billionaire could fund every online fundraiser in existence and not even notice a dent in their wealth
we all know capitalism is fucking evil but one of my favorite stories to tell from Retail Hell is that time my district manager got annoyed that 2 poor people were taking food out of the dumpster occasionally so he told us all to start pouring bleach over all the items we threw out so people couldn’t use them/it would hurt them if they touched it directly. never did that and absolutely have participated in “employee theft” by stealing bags of food from the dumpsters to donate to the local food bank but like. he really did just want us to directly harm people over food that was already in the literal trash.
when managers and CEOs get up in arms about “employee theft” they’re actually talking about people like me who don’t throw out the 30 pairs of shoes that we weren’t able to sell and instead bag them up and throw them behind the dumpster for retrieval/donation later. I once took home $450 of food and another night got $500 worth of makeup. Perfectly good electronics get thrown away bc the packaging was tampered with. We throw away food, cosmetics, and household products 30-60 days before their expiration dates (which are also kinda bullshit anyway). The whole retail model is structured around this idea of massive waste.

the whole “i used to be a teen who hated authority only to grow up to become the authority that hates teens” is a bad bad thing that practically every other generation has fallen into and we all need to make an extremely conscious effort not to repeat the fucking pattern
Studies have shown that the shift starts to happen around age 30. If you’re close to that, make a conscious effort to be open to and accepting of younger people. I’m 31 and paying close attention to how I react to young people and new trends and shit and trying to keep myself from developing those thought patterns.
I feel like this applies to most retail/customer service based jobs
my point is like.. NO kid asked to be born, they had no control over it, it isn’t something they had any power in, and the very LEAST you can do, if you bring a child into the world, is to let them feel loved and supported and make it clear that they have every right to be here and be loved and succeed.. it’s.. you’re obligated. sorry. there’s no excuse for treating a child like they’re a burden and verbally conveying that to them and/or giving off that message w/ yr actions and approach to interaction w/ them.. every child deserves far better than being made to feel like their existence is a burden or a mistake. bc it isn’t.

I want to scream at every person that mistreated me and let them know about my bipolar diagnosis but I know it will give them a reason to hate me more. It’s not fair that I can’t be neurotypical. I want friends more than anything but I’m preventing myself from being able to make any. I’m the problem!
