#generico slips on the ropes and gets absolutely no height or rotation#but manages - in a split second - to turn it into a crossbody#(like HOW? he's literally about to fall onto his back and just rotates using only his core strength!)#and yes let's thank nigel too#because generico is absolutely going to either whack his head on the ground or break something if nigel doesn't catch him#and nigel switches from a moonsault catch (more like absorbing the impact)#to a crossbody catch (using generico's momentum and cushioning both their falls)#in that same split second#and because generico's momentum is so wild and uncontrolled if nigel doesn't catch AND hold onto him generico goes splat on his face

he was! he doesn’t always since his real height being 2 inches shorter than his billed height is generally consistent with the same 2 inch discrepancy of many other wrestlers (at least at AEW)

i think he wore them to better stand nose to nose with kenny for the god vs devil narrative 😌

just reblogged an old screenshot of mine and realized maxwell does in fact always wear wrestling boots with a built in platform! the difference (w/re height consistency) is some of the other guys do as well

you can see here kenny’s have an extremely thin sole (especially in comparison) but adam cole for example wears wrestling boots with a similar lift to max’s; cole and kenny are both billed at 6ft
