6 page wordless comic I made some time ago. Worth posting as I migrate back to Tumblr.

It’s based on an adventure I was running for friends. Centering on Bunch, a little nature cleric that loves fire. Played by my friend Ali. The group was crossing a fast running river when they were ambushed by a group of goblins riding dinosaurs.

This is a little moment I absolutely loved.

Metalbeard is now a full fledged member of the Kalevala II pirate crew. And yet, he is having troubles fitting in. Garbage duty does makes it difficult to make friends. But there has to be more to it than that. What will he have to do to win the crews loyalty and be allowed to participate in glorious battle? How can he show them all he is just a fierce as they are? And when will he get his chance to show his true self?

Hey gang! Long time no see. I’ve been posting all of my new stuff over on Patreon lately (which is why I have been neglecting my Tumblr). Including this, my latest, AML issue #2. Which I’m currently raising funds to help cover printing costs. Support AML #2 on Kickstarter.

If you’ve at all read AML #1, you know what it’s about. But here’s a brief run down anyway. For the uninitiated.

It’s my take on sci fi action and adventure. With a little humour thrown in for good measure. The first issue takes place in a sprawling megacity. Where a terrorist attack leads to an outbreak of humans turning into mutants. These new mutants attacking others in turn.

Enter the main characters of the story. Mecha clad protectors of the peace. They track and chase the terrorist to a roof top. Where she leaps and glides her way over the wall protecting the city from the overgrown jungles pressing in.

Issue two begins with the team tracking their quarry deeper into these jungles. A place where it was thought no one had tread in generations.

My love letter to the shows I watched as a child. Robotech, Centurions, M.A.S.K., Swat Kats, the list goes on.This book is the second of a planned four books.

Sonic OC Zine - Submission Guidelines

• The book will be printed at 8.5″w by 5.5″w with about an extra 1/4″ each for trim & bleed. I’ll link to a PSD template file here once it’s all set up. • Minimum image quality of 300dpi is great. But anything over 600dpi is too high. • Feel free to submit in colour. But keep in mind this thing will most likely be in black and white to save on printing costs.

• Things to include along with your submission: Your name for crediting, a URL to link back to or even just a twitter handle or something.

• All work should be submitted digitally to [email protected] • The deadline for submissions is February 1st 2017.

• All work included in the printed zine and the Tumblr will be fully credited and linked. • By submitting to Sonic OC Zine (Do Not Steal), you are allowing us the right to print your submission in the zine, and to post it on Tumblr. I cannot tell you how much it warms my heart to know you guys like Sonic OC as much as you do. The reception at TCAF, VanCAF & SPX was phenominal and very encouraging. Because of this, we’re throwing it open to everyone in the interest of making a bigger, better book.
