she knew sage was officially a part of the âartisansâ clique, so sheâd always assumed the other was talented, but sheâd never seen the work itself. when she stretched her neck out a bit to look at the sketchbook, her eyes widened. sage was good good, so much so that haneul felt embarrassed about her old popsicle stick houses and macaroni art from when she was five. âthis is⊠really good, wow.â she crossed her arms and looked closer at the drawing, almost trying to find a flaw. âi mean, i was a lil weirded out that you were drawing me, but if itâs gonna look that nice, you can draw me any time.â
it wasnât that sage was automatically expecting a negative response, but it did shock her to hear a compliment coming from the otherâs mouth. with years of experience under her belt, she was incredibly confident in her abilities, but sadly a lot of people werenât as aware of the efforts that went into what looked like a simple sketch. âthank you,â she responded with a soft smile, perking up at what she thought was an offer. âwait-- would you really?! because i have a classic art class that i have to meet a quota for. i wouldnât sell any pieces with you in it, iâm not sure what kind of copyright iâd have to go through.â
