Just got some very local wool because I thought it might be fun to try and work with the real, non-synthetic stuff (and also support a smaller local spot).
I’ve now untangled and cleaned the first lot of it, and here’s a fun fact: Sheep are really fucking dirty :>

Idk if anyone will care about this but I think stuff like this is really quite a lot of fun. More “typical” handiwork like whittling, weaving, hand sewing or carpenting (especially when I’m figuring it out on my own without a guide) is just something I’ve always really enjoyed.
My mom said I might be able to try spinning my own thread sometime, as she does in fact have a spindle somewhere.
Super excited about that.
