WELCOME TO THE SHOREHOUSE!!!

Meet Roxie, the owner of the Shorehouse and the reason for why all these other dorks come to live there, too! She's my angel and probably my favorite out of the group! Now that I've posted about her I can share all the other art I've done of her, mwahahaha.

But, WTTSH is a story about a group of artists struggling to become successful and just trying their best to make the most of each day! They all live in Clam City, a small (fictional but based off seaside heights) town along the New Jersey coastline. They party, create art, and try their best to make a living.

Roxie is, as explained in other posts, a singer without a band. Luckily for her, maybe some of these roommates can help her make a band ;]

BRIEF LORE AND MORE PICS BELOWWWWW:

a group of misfit artists share a shore house in New Jersey and just try to live their lives the best they can each day !

ANTHONY, ROXIE, JULIA, AND DOMINIK

ANTHONY is a boardwalk caricature artist who aspires to become a successful cartoonist. Though, he has yet to come up with his big idea, much to his dismay. For now, he must stress out his social battery drawing portraits! Childhood friends with Roxie! (he's totally not in love with her!) He can come off as quite cynical, stubborn, and bitchy, but underneath that negative Nancy exterior is a real soft nerd.

ROXIE is a singer, though you can't be a leading lady without having your very own band! Luckily for her, Grandma Perez has gifted her the old Shorehouse! Beach housing happens to be a pretty good way to entice people to join your band! Bubbly and bright, she is high energy and a lot to handle, even if she's trying her best. She's the reason most of the cast comes together, a leader with a fringe. And before you ask, she's definitely not in love with Anthony, especially when she's already got a boyfriend in Atlas >:[

JULIA a mural painter who must balance her career with her love of partying, especially in all these shore clubs! She's the one who has to convince most of these dorklords to go out and enjoy themselves. Partying is only so much of a distraction from not being taken seriously as a painter. She's sarcastic, bossy, but she's incredibly protective of her friends and has a fierce sense of justice. She'll gladly confront anyone, exploitatives and all!

DOMINIK a rebel through and through. He can play a mean drum solo but is relatively disenchanted by the idea of being an artist. He spends most of his time being a bodyguard to various different clubs on the shore or getting into fights for the thrill. No one quite knows where he's from, but Ros is convinced there's a sweetheart buried underneath those calloused knuckles (along with the perfect drummer for her band). Having shelter in the Shorehouse definitely makes life a little less stressful, and all these nerds aren't too bad.

RAYMON, GINNY, SWEET DEE, ATLAS

RAYMOND is the coolest guy here, at least he thinks so. He wants to be an actor, though makes most of his money competing in local surfing competitions. When he isn't surfing, he's annoying his favorite boardwalk artist, Anthony, much to his detriment. He can be a big instigator and pot-stirrer, but he loves his group of misfits and he couldn't imagine spending his time with anyone else. Though, he isn't going to admit he wants to be an actor, they still have to think he's cool.

GINNY is a shy and mousy girl with big aspirations of becoming a romance author. She writes for the towns local newspaper column, giving advice to lonely singles on how to find the people of her dreams. She also helps the artists create their own early Internet websites, though she should've realized naming her website givemekisses maybe wasn't the best idea. The Shorehouse can be very overwhelming for her, being much more of a nervous wreck and a recluse, but it's the effort that counts, right?

DERRICK (SWEET DEE) is the stoner™ of the group, which is the reason for the various shades he owns. When he isn't rotting on the couch, smoking weed, and playing the GameCube, he's DJ-ing at various spots around the shore, turning up the party where he can. Though, when he catches wind of a band from one of those girly girl newspaper articles, he finds his way to the Shorehouse. He gets along with just about everyone, though that's pretty easy when you don't have much to say, let alone much to think.

ATLAS who's real name is definitely NOT Cody, wants to be a rockstar so bad. He wants the pretty girls, the sick guitars, the ability to stay up late every night and rock his heart out. Though, there isn't a lot of opportunities to be a cool rockstar in a town like this. It's a small enough world for him to run into everyone else. Domineering, argumentative, yet charming and quite suave! Even if he's the worst ever, it's going to take a while for everyone else to realize this. Every friend group needs an Atlas-

I'm figuring this is going to be a comic? Or, at the very least, various drawings and mini comics/scenes! It's still a major work and progress, but I wanna post more about these dummies and now I can!
