SPOILERS: Upcoming returning stuff, Wild Weekends, Rare Item Mondays and something new...

(Listed in order) These Wild Weekends aren't really my thing, but I know some people will love them. so yay! I'm mostly looking forward towards the small den reskin for summer!

yapping again. unironically could we potentially have non-rare variants of rare pets or something. here's my first concept okay. look at the color options for rare pet seals

compared to the color options for pets like the puppy & kitty

non-rare pet seals would lack a rare tag + have a later join date to preserve the value of the original pets -- plus, they'd have entirely different colors available which helps to further set them apart from the original rare variants

if ajhq felt like getting #crazyyyy with it, non-rare variants of rare pets could also have slightly different features. really quick example below

#though TO BE FAIR these pets were obtained by spending real money on aj toys #so it's one of the only items ingame i actually Would hate to ruin the original value of. cuz thatd kinda be a ripoff #therefore there would have to be a lot of changes made to ensure the originals are still valuable #though tbh i don't think the originals would go down TOO much in value if cheaper variants existed #there are so many aj items that are worth spikes #that have slightly different versions available for cheaper #and the original items haven't gone down at all #ie: beta tails are still worth spikes even though diamond elf tails exist #plus aren't nm phantoms are still rare and sought-after even though #we have non-rare member variants that are cheaper??#i'm not a genius as a clear disclaimer here i just like pet seals and am brokeeeee

ok as much as i genuinely love pet games with economy/trading/worth the community of this game is so insane 😭😭😭 i hope the phantom emporium brings back solids and fucks everything up. i hope headdresses come back in jam mart for a single day to absolutely tank the value (and then all of them get permanently deleted anyway). i hope pet seals are part of the next monthly bundle. i hope the next contest item is flat-out just the beta eyeball hat

berdly is an aldan sweat that has a beta eye and wears it all the time and gets genuinely mad at the phantom emporium. noelle's been here since beta and knows all of the secrets & glitches, she's an eyeless nonmember color-glitched deer rn and she claims she met fman122 ingame once. kris used to pretend to be fman122 to scare noelle until dess hacked kris's account to teach them a lesson (they haven't touched the game since their fox hat was taken). susie is on a new nonmember account that wears an eye patch and pirate sword (both given to her by noelle) and is constantly getting bubble chatted. ralsei is an aesthetic den decorator with a side account called "ralseishops" w/ one billion shops he uses to afford more nature items

#susie is on a new account because her original account from ~2014 was banned for scamming someone's short collar

A common misconception I hear about the early beta is that this koala has a leopard spot pattern but actually this was just a rendering error that koala patterns had at the time. The brown gazelle koala here just has the regular spot pattern.

This is another example of the koala pattern rendering error.

It's possible that this happened because koala patterns have a unique 3D effect as it is black where the shadows normally are.

Another fun interesting thing about koalas in the early beta is that they had a different idle animation/pose! Both koalas above are idle.

It's hard to see but, here is a gif of the old idle animation vs the modern idle animation:

Also you can see in the "change your look" menu that two of the beta leg items (elf bracelets and leg armor) are still modeled in this early beta pose!

the way "under investigation" on the ajiww just means "people saw that this item is worth a short collar, but are now hoarding it and asking for solids" ... i hope the Phantom Emporium gets you all
