       “We will.” A promise he intended to keep (even if she didn’t end up in Tokyo and ended up in Yamagata instead, he didn’t want them both to be so consumed by the demands of study that they would be able to see each other). “Anyway… Yamagata and Tokyo aren’t that far away. I could come and visit you and you can show me around. And we can see each other when we come back to Miyagi for the holidays.”

       One strong arm still wrapped around her to keep her from falling, he shifts his other to place his hand over the ones gripping his shirt and he squeezes gently, (hopefully) reassuringly. “It’ll be okay.”

       Her choice was still undecided but it was nice to know that no matter where she went Daichi would just be a phone call ( or a few steps ) away. He never did fail to make her feel better, a smile was already starting to form.

                “When I join the girls volleyball team you have to come to every games, okay?” Moving slowly she let go of his shirt only to make one hand grab onto Daichi’s.“I’ll try to make it to all of yours too if you join the team. I’ll even make you a-and the team more good luck charms.”

         He sighs, even as he manages to keep them balanced, acting a counterweight for her sudden movements. Even when their eyes meet, the expression on his face doesn’t lift from how deep it’s falling, the corners of his mouth tugging down. Daichi didn’t get what was so confusing; he wanted her to choose what was best for herself, but he also wanted her to stay with him.

         Her. Not a friend. He had his brother to lean on while he got used to the whole college thing. He wanted Michimiya specifically to be there. They’d already been through so much together, it was difficult to imagine her not being there; not being able to seek her out for some sort of comfort she probably didn’t even realise she provided him with.

        “I know… And I’ll always support you.” To the best of his abilities no matter where they both ended up. “I want you to choose what’s best for you. What’s most important for you.”

        Yui knew that she had to do what was best for her. Although she wanted to stay and go to Yamagata there was a part of her that wanted to go and explore. It was awful not being able to decide along with getting advice from man others that conflicted with each other.

         It would be hard adjusting to the new setting. But she couldn’t stay around in one place forever. She couldn’t keep hoping for something that might never happen...

                “So...if I do go to Tokyo we’ll stay in contact right?” She already knew that asking that one thing might be to much. All the movies, stories, and real life had shown that it was hard to stay in touch while so far away. Unknowingly her hands had moved to clutch at the fabric of his shirt.

         “I’m babysitting and fending off single gay dads. You do it first.”

       Now that had struck a nerve. A fist clenches tightly pulling at a ruffle of her blue ( wrinkled ) dress. Even though it might cause her end a huge smile, wide enough to make her eyes close, spread across her features.

                “You demons will face your end soon. I may not live to see it but I know that my people will find a way to overcome all of you.”

He had never seen her before but she looked young enough to be in high school. Maybe she was a third year. He wonders in which one though but seeing her clothes being rather black he could guess she was from Karasuno.

   Honestly she didn’t know if she was suppose to be offended or not by that question. But the girl was just going to smile and answer the question. “What about yourself? Are you going to school around here?”
