Me:
As a fledgling collector of kung fu films, itâs nice when you get through the good Jackie Chan films as well as the Shaw Brother classics (not to mention Jet Li, Donnie Yen, Bruce Lee etc.) I find gems like this. Some of the smaller independent kung fu films of the 70â˛s are incredible but, unfortunately, you often have to wade through a river of shite to get to them. This particular one - Seven Steps of Kung Fu - is great though. Youâre not going to find a crystal clear, wide screen, remastered version of it any time soon so itâs best to pick it up any way you can. Right now the best way is the UK DVD. you can pick it up here used for three quid. But just check out this fight scene. It really is a âshapesâ (those films that exhibit a lot of flowery moves and stances) classic. Well worth scooping up.
