Room is a terrific novel. The movie is wonderful. I loved it. But I never really could forget Emma Donoghue  admitting: “But Ma will never truly be over it.”

And you read the end of the book. 

And Brie Larson spends half that movie acting like a zombie. Her eyes are basically dead.

And you get it. She is keeping it together for her son. 

But, eventually, he will leave too.
