Blue Ridge
An ancient water's basin towering mountain horizon greets my crying face blue hues of coloration;
Red cheeks of frustration Why can't this be my everyday vacation? Sunset says Welcome to Carolinacation--
Dream of artistic vocations dreamers' idealizations, What's the hesitation?
Green mountain greenbacks, Laundering the stream muddy river flowing It is as it seems
Derelict back alleys Disrespect, low valleys Low men of the highland Sad them of the brave land
Americans, we stand proud faces of my friends Freedom in empty country I cannot really understand
Myself I stand upon the ridge In open discussion with the wind tongue wraps around the trees What secrets do they keep?
Soft gale enters ears Plays the sound I wish to hear: Embrace the imperfections Or waste your youthful years
When the day is done A baby born, turns one Until Thy kingdom comes, Live with constant love.
