My movie theater certainly did, because no one around me understood the ending, in particular why Dr. Strange did what he did. It seemed nonsensical to them.

But I instantly knew.

Dr. Strange said 2 things that set my whole outlook on Avengers 4.

1. Strange foresees 14 Million timelines and their outcomes, mentioning they only beat Thanos in one of them. That scene didn’t seem important, but it was.

2. After sacrificing the stone, he tells Tony “There was no other choice”. And casually, he also says “We’re in the end game”.

See, I think Dr. Strange has more than 12% of a plan. He is setting up the Dominoes that will lead to that one timeline where they end up winning. Tony had to survive, the Time gem needed to be given away at that moment, Thanos had to temporarily win.
