With round four said and done, Aster is out of the Sonic Fankid Showdown!

Everyone go congratulate Biscotto!!! Going up against him made me so nervous but it was super sick interacting with an artist I’ve admired for a while :D @flightyalrighty (you can go support their fan comic Infested with this link here! :))!

I famously make a big deal out of events like these so more extensive chit-chat and thank-yous are under the cut 💛💫

I first learned about the Showdown during last year’s event, and I was so insanely inspired by it. In particular, rooting for Starlight and Genesis in the semifinals is what made me make a fankid in the first place (happy late birthday, Aster!).

I feel so lucky to have participated in an event I’ve been anticipating for a bit now! Through this community I have forged a lot of solid bonds, and seeing everyone share such a creative drive to improve upon their character design and storytelling is so so so awesome. :’)

Aster’s competitors (and all of the Showdown participants as a whole) were so so miraculous!! They were so fun to learn about and interact with, it was so clear that each one was a meticulously crafted labor of love and i cannot wait to see more of them!

Last but oh my GOODNESS not least: THANK YOU ASTER NATION! I never expected Aster to get this far and I was so surprised at the amount of support she got! In particular thanks to my squid gang you know who u are. Aster nation 4 life 🙏💛💛
