absolutely! i had to learn it on my own with very little help, so I would have loved to have it at school. and I think it’s an important step towards inclusivity it would not only be useful for people with hearing loss (even though that would still be a completely sufficient reason to do it)! for example, people with certain medical problems or mental health issues can sometimes have difficulty speaking, so if sign language was normalized and a basic skill to have, many people could be more comfortable a very close friend of mine is also learning sign language because i’m autistic and sometimes noise hurts me, especially speaking. so this way we can still have conversations with our headphones on. it’s also a fun thing to learn together
