âDo you ever wonder, where weâll all be in ten years time..â
âNo. Just wonder where a select few will.â
sarah-dxvis:
âAn observer?â Sarah asked, unsure she had heard her correctly. Though someone talking in third person wasnât the most uncanny thing she had heard let alone seen since arrive home. âOh you mean yourself? Well that makes two of us.â
Moira nodded slowly, shifting a bit closer to the bar as someone brushed passed well in her proximity. She didnât mind the awkward closeness, it was the sudden nature of it that had her moving. The quizzical tone of the girlâs voice suggested that the shifter think more before she speak, and with a soft ahem she prepared herself for it. âI figured it was time to try something new. This seemed ... alive.â
youngwitchofnature:
She smiles at woman before nodding her head, asking for a Pina Colada and a screwdriver before turning back to the woman.âPlease tell me youâre still staying at Strange Magic for awhile? I mean, itâs nice to have someone close to my age living there that isnât my sister.â
âFor a little while, yes,â This was one of the people who were more comfortable around a human tongue. Moira noted it, cleared her throat (a sound lost entirely on the heavy music) and nodded slowly. âYou have a sister?â
piercingxshifter:
Moving his hands further into her hair, he ruffled it up a bit. Heâd imagine her in her Raven form all plumped up with her feathers being messed with. âEven outrun you.â he smirked. âEagle Fitness.â and he figured that would be the only way to release any pent up tension in his body. Being in the form of a cat and then having to adjust to his human form.
The sensation was reminiscent of someone ruffling her feathers. Moira could admit that it felt nice, even leaned her head slightly into his hand as he ruffled the strands. âAn observer could never run as quickly as she could fly.â The smirk did not leave her features --- Dom was comfortable company, someone she could feel more relaxed with, and that was invaluable. âRaven fitness,â she teased, âAnd a man will run laps through the gym?â
nachtonvasile:
âBetter than nothing. Is the heat really going to be any better than the cold? Which would you prefer: shivering or sweating?â Nachton was interested in her answer. He had asked others the same question before, others he was torturing. Some who choose heat, he would make them extremely hot. Or he would make them extremely cold. And he did the same with people who chose the cold. It all depended on his mood. Not that he was planning on torturing Moira, but because he needed to know if she would be content here. He didnât care, but he also didnât want to risk her being unhappy and leaving the family. âNone yet. But I have lotâs of time to plan. One of the many perks of immortality.âÂ
âHot,â Moira answered almost instantly. âEasier to cool down than to warm up.â She could peel her clothes off, or disappear to some shady area if it go too hot. A lot of her travels were in warmer areas, she was used to cooling off because of it. âImmortality,â she repeated softly --- a luxury she would never be afforded. In the same note, it was not something she envied the Vasileâs for, or anyone else. Living forever became lonely, despite how many faces one surrounded themselves with. Or boring.
catalina-fullmoon:
Catalina had just finished her shift. To her, it felt like an eternity, but at least it payed amazingly. She made her way to the bar before leaving, sitting down beside another woman in the process. Noticing the otherâs patience to get the bartenderâs attention, Catalina called for them. On a busy night like this it would be a long time before the patient girl got a drink. âSometimes I swear he only serves the ones with huge racks.â Catalina said as the bartender made his way over.
âThere ya go, darling. Pick your poison.âÂ
The womanâs verbage was confusing to her. Moira hadnât any clue what a rack was meant to be and so she merely nodded along to the notation of it. At the very least she was thankful that the brunette could snag the attention of the bartender --- she was only moments away from reaching forward and tapping him on the shoulder the next time he passed. âBlood orange vodka,â Moira noted, then turned to the brunette. âThank you.â
piercingxshifter:
It was easy for her to mess with his hair, because most of the time he couldnât reach to fix it as well as he can in human form. She had the feel of his hair, not once had he touched her. Due to the fact that she was much smaller then him, he might of smothered her if he attempted. So being able to view her this way, in all form, the corner of his lips turned up. He pouted at her words, a low growl, which sounded pretty funny considering it didnât sound as scary. âI can still run as fast, even with two legs.â his hands moved further up, combing her hair now. Would this turn to feathers?
âEven with two legs,â she teased, playing on the defiance in his tone. It was more than refreshing to have someone here that she was comfortable around. The Vasile family was more than welcoming and accommodating but even then the shifter was always so well-composed without a hair misplaced. It was important that she only reveal the most dedicated of sides to them, and for that the childishness that she always had suffered. People in this town did not understand her, so few were open to speak without noting her own patterns. âWhat gym does a man apply himself to so that he may build his muscle.â
youngwitchofnature:
âI see someone is enjoying themselves. What do you drink?â
What did she drink? The words were so much more complex than they should have been, but even Moira couldnât ignore an opportunity when it knocked. âSomething fruity.â
piercingxshifter:
He was taller indeed, even in his feline form. It was something he would have to get used to. Her, being close to height, if not a few inches shorter. Walking on two legs compared to four was odd enough. His vision was different as well and like he thought before, humans compared none nor did it give justice to see her the way he had. Unexpectedly she had reached over and did the thing, she only does, when in Raven form. It baffled him, and his eyes narrowed as she left her mark on his hair. The way in which she had to tip toe, just to reach his height. couldnât help herself. Fixing his hair, he reached over to touch a strand of her Raven locks, examining it. âA man needs it to build muscle, and to increase his accuracy of speed.â
She was so pleased with his mussed hair, more when he had to move to smooth it back down. It was strange to see him do that, so vastly different from watching a lithe cat lower his head to paw at the fur once she uplifted from her perch. If anything Moira enjoyed their odd human forms, side-by-side like that, where he nearly towered over her entirely. Six inches was a big difference when one took into account their bipedal nature. Her gaze flickered to his fingers when he touched at her hair, her smile affixed. âA manâs speed has never been in question. Though perhaps with two legs he is a bit more sluggish.â
Casting her gaze down the bar she took in a single brunette, also alone as she too shared a look of bewilderment as she silently observed her surroundings. Picking up her drink she made her way towards her, opting for the bar-stool a couple of seats down from her. â â Is it always this, crowded?â Sarah asked, voice raised over the thrum of the music as her gaze returned to the crowd beyond the bar. She had definitely come to the wrong place to socialize. But it was too late to back out now.
Adjusting her ears to the thumping music was one of the hardest feats that Moira had ever experienced. She would never understand the appeal of deafening oneself, even if it did seem to affect the rest of her senses. By this point she was sure that the vibrations through the floor, in tandem with the flashing lights, were dictation her motions. So when the girl appeared just a few bar stools away and spoke to her it took Moira a good few seconds to recollect herself. âAn observer doesnât know --- sheâs never been here before.â Was she shouting? It felt as if she was, if only in some small desire to have the other hear her.Â
âAn unfortunate attribute. Yeah, definitely start with fruity.â
âIs there fruity tequila? Knock two down with one shot ...â
âMight be? Oh, Iâm definitely a bad influence.â
âA man is proud of this. An observer will have to remember: fruity and tequila.â
piercingxshifter:
In his Feline form, he was slim, quick, and elegant in a way in which he could catch his prey. His human traits, physical attributes, he had muscle. She was always very small, with her raven color feathers that heâd find almost every turn. It was indeed her hair that highlighted her porcelain skin, the countless nights in which the moon radiated, and yet he hadnât notice the blue in her hues. Catâs were suppose to see beautifully in the night. Human eyes brought shame to her true potential, because it did not do her justice. Blinking for a few minutes, her question was heard. âA small quaint town, new beginnings as always, plus they have a gym I am currently interested in.â
She was used to creatures towering over her while she wore her feathers more appropriately. Ravens werenât the largest of birds by any sense of the word, she was small even by their standards and next to a cheetah (despite their lithe frames) she was just but a little blip. Beside Dom as a man she appeared as a child and one might have assumed so had she not possessed the curves of a woman her age. Without the desire to stop herself, Moira reached forward and pressed onto the tips of her toes to ruffle fingers through his hair, only satisfied when it came to a mussed hawk. Pleased, she rested back on her heels and nodded, âThere. A gym? As if a man needs a gym to run.â
âJust wait until you try Tequila.â
âThat ... sounds more like a warning. Or a suggestion. A man might be a bad influence.â
âThereâs a lot like Whiskey. Shit, thereâs some even worse than it.â
âWorse? How does something become worse than liquid fire? An observerâs stomach burns at the thought of it.â
piercingxshifter:
There had been many times where they would walk in silence, hear the sounds of everything else that surrounded them. His head felt lighter than usual. Dom wasnât a man of many words, he was appreciative that Moira was the same in that aspect. âYour human form suits you well.â he nodded. âRaven wings, and not having to hear you caw.âÂ
Her first day in so many years, back when she had only just arrived in Red Creek, as a human had her musing that her speaking voice held the same roughness that the caws often did as a raven. It was always amusing to compare the similarities of their traits in one form versus another, it seemed so obvious that others should know what she was just by looking at her, despite how unsafe it was. She was proud, she knew Dom was too. âWhat has a man come to Red Creek for?â Sheâd prefer to address him appropriately --- what has a cat, but there were ears here too aggressive to hear such delicate words. She wouldnât endanger either of them.
âYeah, fruity liquor and fruity mixed drinks.â
âOh. An observer will have to keep it in mind, lest she discovers more like whiskey.â
