Before Garam intervened the strange man, his eyebrows rose in surprise at the sudden appearance of his close ally. His mouth slightly dropped, giving a confused stare, “Hm? Molan? What are you doing here?”
It was no coincidence that she may have trailed him behind. He sensed something odd on his way back from the river park a while ago. Instead of taking measures to hide and spot them, Garam usually bided his time patiently to see their next move before handling the matter.
Pausing for a moment, he shook his head, “Actually let’s talk about that later.” Garam glanced over at the man, stepping forth as he crossed his arms, “As she says, it’s better if you could leave my motorbike alone in a civilised manner.”
The strange man turned sour at Garam’s comment, scowling at the two standing in front of him. Even if the man’s look could kill them, Garam remained still, staring at him without a blink in a long silence. The drunkard hopped off the vehicle and staggered away as he deliberately bumped into the wolf’s shoulder.
Releasing a heavy sigh, the tense atmosphere diluted. Garam focused his gaze on Molan. He scratched the side of his head, putting his hand back into his pocket. "Sorry about that earlier. Is everything fine? What were you doing here?"
.
The goddess pressed her lips together, eyes wide in surprise. She hadn’t expected for her to drop her cover so early, but her time in the Howler’s had created a sense of loyalty that had her body reacting before she could catch up mentally. There was a long pause, having to shift through her mind for an excuse that would be even remotely believable.
“Um, I was…in the neighborhood, as far as you’re concerned.” Molan quipped, pouting a bit as she crossed her arms over her chest. A vain attempt to play on her brute attitude she usually kept around the guys.
She’d been taught the ways of a lionesses stealth, spent her life among the trees, only to reveal herself through her mergence with the group that had saved her legacy. It was embarrassing to say the lease, and she fought the hotness in her cheeks at the thought.
With a nod she moved closer behind him, the originally embarrassed expression falling into a much more sinister one, ready to aid Garam if the drunk idiot decided to do something else stupid. Peering around his shoulder, the sense of satisfaction came when the man before them decided to abandon his bike jacking for something that was more than likely less work than taking the two of them on.
Her eyes threatened to glow at the bluntness of the culprit, her boiling blood only simmering down when Garam’s velvety tone re-entered her atmosphere. “Oh, no no everything’s fine really, just…wanted to see what you were up to I guess.” The goddess remisced with a shrug, her brows moving in tandem with her shoulders.
