So I'm feeling a bit better and obviously I got some ideas rolling in for the story. I want to ask for feedback on an idea obviously because it might get mixed reviews. So in alot of fics the Wayne's are essentially treated like the Kardashians,super famous,recognized by many,etc.

I kinda want to show that darker side with Y/N where the Media kinda sexualizes her,mentions of countdowns till she's 18,body shaming her,maybe some grosser stuff that's definitely lesbphobic. I don't need to have this stuff in this story but I just thought maybe it could work she's a teenager in the modern era where social media is a huge thing for us she's a girl and girls are constantly shamed and sexualized by the media regardless if they are of age or not. Almost all of this stuff will be just social media comments,those twitter post stuff I see on here sometimes (like the one I tried to do).

I think Cass would get some of this stuff happening to her to but not to the same extent I feel like more pressure would be put on y/n because she's a Wayne her father might not care about blood but the media definitely does, there's definitely a lot of pressure for her to act a certain way because she's got a huge online presence she's supposed to be a "role model to the children"(something I saw a lot of people say when Disney girls back than wore a slightly immodest bathing suit).

Also this isn't as thought out of an idea as it seems to be after "I don't need this to be in the story" everything was thought of as I typed it cuz I don't like making short what do you call Tumblr posts? Just Tumblr posts?

I'm just gonna be talking about things going through my mind right now so enjoy I guess.

I couldn't get into Harry potter as a child and this was way before the word transgender was in my vocabulary much less even considered being transgender. Like Every once in a while I would read books 1-3 try to read book 4 could barely make it through the first chapter before I'm like "nope not for me" and than not read anymore.

Same thing with the movies till my brother wanted to watch all 7 movies, we pirate movies so I couldn't be like "I'm not giving her money" I'm gonna be honest with you the first two movies sucked,at least on my opinion I hear people say that the first movie is the best but in my opinion it's the worst. Like the way they transitioned to other scenes was so bad,like a long pause where it's just a black screen.

Also,I surprisingly liked the Percy Jackson show,I might change my mind when I re-read the books cuz I lowkey blacked out almost every single detail of those books cuz that was when I was on ADHD medicine and I lowkey don't remember much of those times.

My brother also a huge fan of the books did not know that Luke had romantic feelings for Annabeth and when I stated that was a thing he said that's one change he was happy they made in the show.

I do love what they did with Thalia tho,like I haven't seen many peoples reactions to that change but I loved it so much! Like it seems on point for Zeus to do something like that.

I will say tho, I feel like maybe if Rick wanted to correct a bunch of the stuff in his books maybe he should have released a remastered version of the book first before the show so it seems less like a fanfiction,like I loved the show so far but it does seem a bit like fanfiction don't get me wrong I know the type of app I'm typing this on at this moment so you know I love fanfiction but this is an official production.

I don't know where I was going with that so moving on.

Did anyone else's tiktok feed get muffled up a bit when Percy Jackson came out? The show I mean? Cuz like I was pretty big into a specific song and Percy Jackson cuz I love Percy Jackson and than all of a sudden my fyp page is giving me thirst traps of a 13 year old boy to a sexual song that I love and I'm pretty sure this is the reason why I forgot what the song was because of this and not because I got over the song that I probably still listen to but just forgot the name of because I rarely learn the names of tiktok edit songs

My point is I don't want edits of 15 year old boys on my feed.

You think maybe tiktok was like "well you were into this like 7 years ago (back when I was like 16 and obviously I mean like other 16 year olds even than I wouldn't want to see a thirst trap of a 13 year old ) so here you go!"

Before I made that poll I was gonna have Stephanie or Cassie sandsmark be Y/Ns love interest. Lowkey I only made her gay cuz I was tired of reading the Batfam x neglected reader fics where Conner was the love interest love Conner he's cool and all but every single time It was Conner no one really switched it up so I was like "ok I'm just gonna make her gay". I had a much more fleshed out story in my head for if Stephanie was the love interest like I lowkey imagined Stephanie not liking Y/N much cuz in the public eye Y/N tries to appear to be spoiled and out of touch sometimes even acting like that at home so yeah as civilians annoyed with each other(Y/N would probably think Stephanie is cool and has no idea that Stephanie thinks she's annoyed)

But as spoiler she meets this cool new vigilante who like to help out with all the "little things" that don't necasarily have to do with just stopping crime,like this vigilante is more like a volunteer at a food bank rather than a crime fighting vigilante. Like I imagined that they'd occasionally team up to fight some bad guys, spoiler would help out in Solar flares "territory"(Y/N is so confused about the territory thing because they aren't dogs and this isn't a A/B/O fic,she doesn't break the fourth wall tho) they have late night conversations on rooftops and stuff romantic starry night settings they suddenly find themselves catching feelings, Stephanie finds out that the person she ignores and occasionally makes fun of is solar flare stuff happens they end up together.

But obviously she didn't win the poll but I'm glad that she didn't because it's giving me a good opportunity to get those creative juices flowing and making me think of what to do with the character as Iake the character instead of working with an already existing character.

Also since like 2023 I've been trying to write a book but I realized I don't know how to,like I have always thought of writing books but I usually forgot about them but this time something is different and I really want to write it. When I came up with the plot for this book I was kind of inspired by the owl house and that one Tinkerbell movie where she had to go find the wishing mirror.

My next Tumblr post will be my word vomit of all I have on this book idea that I have in my word doc. /(Like I have the whole plot thought out for book 1 and I want this series to have 5 books,2 books that happen after like book 3 or 4 in two of the main characters pov like they get a book in their own POV because spoilers for a book that will probably never happen but something happens to the main character who is presumed dead for a bit so in this friend group 3 girls 2 of the girls get on book dedicated to them as the sole main character to how life happens after their best friends death,one is trying how to figure out what their identity is outside this one person that they've known their whole life and has dedicated their loyalty too and may or may not fall for a gay character that's not important to the story but I wanted to ask should I keep that in? Cuz like when I was younger when someone thought a man was hot someone would be like "but he's gay" and the person who thought he was hot was like "oh nevermind" someone commented this to me when I commented a celebrity being hot "oh but he's gay" me:so he just magically turns into a gross oger? No? Exactly he's still hot as fuck he isn't into woman but I'm still into men so I'm still gonna find him attractive (I am however now a trans dude tho so....) but I don't think the crush was gonna be real but something they felt expected to do cuz they are really good friends and family and many adults are like "the step into becoming more than friends is just natural" cuz everyone loves a good friends to lovers story so I feel like everyone is lowkey gonna pressure this poor kid into thinking they are in love with their best friend despite them being gay also idk why I'm using they/them pronouns for everyone the 3 main characters of the book are girls and the friend of one of them is a boy who's gay). And this person's story is supposed to be them trying to find out who they are outside of other people,etc. She is also the only straight person of her friend group!

and the other is just drowning in denial and swears that MC is alive and goes down a bit of a dark path trying to find MC they are usually known for being the comic relief clown character literally on the clown part since their dream career is to be a clown)like if this was a book meant for adults she'd be killing people.

You know I feel like that one speech from the good place works really well for the neglected reader in the batfam x neglected reader especially if they were like the oldest child who ran away or got sent to boarding school/military school and came home to their dad being known for being an amazing parent who's opened his heart and taken so many kids under his wing.

For the Batfam being your found family, I could imagine maybe the reveal comes out when both V/N and Y/N run away from ‘home’.

Yeah definitely,idk how it will happen with V/N maybe V/N will leave a note saying they given up on being a vigilante or something and Y/N leaving a note saying they need to find themselves. Obviously Their family will look for them both as civilian and vigilante cuz I lowkey imagined Y/N being like 13 maybe 12.

Batfam x neglected reader but

The batfam is your found family!

You don't know that your family are crime fighting vigilantes.

Your family don't know your a clumsy but well intentioned noob vigilante that seemingly could use their guidance.

Dick keeps saying he's gonna teach you a few gymnastic moves but never does.

Nightwing teaches you how to do a front flip.

Jason breaks his promise of seeing a movie adaptation of a book you both love and takes someone else

Red hood takes you to see that movie adaptation of the book you love and both of you trash it cause it ended up being so bad!

Tim didn't even let you finish your sentence when you tried to ask him to see if their is a virus on your laptop and if he can get someone on IT or something to fix it

Red Robin teaches you a few basic skills you you can fix your laptop yourself

Damian refused to go to the zoo with you.(You went alone and saw him with Dick there)

Robin introduces you to the alley cats,so many of them! And well taken care of.

Batman taught you how to speak up and taught you some non-harmful self defense moves in case the bullies ever got physical with you.

Batman talks about why his daughter can't get into vigilante life and how he made a promise to someone to never put you in harms way. Y/N felt surprisingly sympathetic towards him even if it was way to similar to her own home life situation.

You vent to Batman about your own home life and Batman heads the anguish in your voice as tears threaten to leak from your eyes,he wonders if this is also how you felt. If he was just as bad as V/N's dad.

Your shocked when your Dad asks you how schools been and if anyone was giving you trouble.

Batman says he's got to handle something in his home life and can't teach you those fighting moves,that it will have to wait another day.

Alfred asked you to help him bake for Jason's upcoming birthday and you spend the whole day with him.

Agent A pretty much acts the same towards you.

Cass stops disappearing and you have a insightful conversation with her,you forgot what the conversation was about but it weirdly left you feeling at peace.

Your family didn't understand you.

You didn't even mean it in a teenager-emo "no one understands me" way; it was something several family members have said to your face.

"I don't understand you."

"Well, you wouldn't be the first!" you chirped, watching your little brother pout at you. Damian always tried to seem so grown up, but he was just a cutie patootie.

"How can someone like you come from Father?" he grunted. "You're a literal eyesore!" He gestured to your bright yellow outfit.

You tapped your chin, bouncing on your toes as you pretended to be deep in thought. "Well, someone like me doesn't have to let you petsit my sweet little Angel when I go out this weekend," you smirked. "I mean, she is my baby, so it would make sense you wouldn't like Angel, especially since she was raised by someone like me..."

"I didn't say that!" he huffed. "It's not her fault she was raised by a buffoon!"

He was such a tsundere.

"So you'll be able to watch her this weekend?" you pleaded.

"Of course I am. Angel should be around competent people every once in a while."

"Kay, thanks, Dami!" You turned back to your room. "Can't talk, got to get ready for school!" You slammed your door shut.

After putting your Gotham Prep uniform on, you slipped on yellow tights under your skirt, and you rolled up your blazer sleeves to have room for your various Kandi bracelets.

Once you made sure you were ready, you grabbed your car keys and skedaddled out.

As much as you loved Alfred's cooking, you did not want to be late to pick up Maya.

Following all the traffic laws (you definitely didn't ignore a stop sign or two), you swiftly made it to Maya's house. "Maya!" you shouted, running out of your car to rush to your girlfriend.

"I missed you so much!" Picking her up, you twirled around.

"You literally saw me yesterday afternoon," she rolled her eyes, but accepted the onslaught of kisses you gave her.

"It's been too long!" you gasped. "Even five minutes apart has my heart aching!"

"Just put me down so we aren't late," your girlfriend mumbled, her face now a bright shade of pink.

"As you wish!" You gently set her down and walked over to the passenger side of your car. "M'lady," you said, opening the door and bowing dramatically.

"You're still so corny," she giggled and stepped into the car.

Once in the car, you drove to school with the music blaring. You were the only one of the family left in high school since Tim dropped out last semester to run Bruce's Wayne Enterprises. It didn't make much difference whether he was here or not.

It's not like he talked to you.

"Y/N, Maya! Over here!" your friend group shouted. You bounced over there, practically tackling your smallest friend into a hug.

"Kyle! My sweet baby, how have you been? Did you eat breakfast this morning?" Kyle was a freshman, and he was only thirteen. He was so smart.

Even though you were only a sophomore, you ended up adopting a bunch of freshmen.

"Geez, tone it down, Y/N," Maya giggled. "You're not his actual mom."

You gasped dramatically. "Don't say that! I'll have you know I spawned Kyle with sheer willpower alone!" You clutched Kyle closer. "You may be his step-school mom, but you gotta step up more instead of leaving me to raise three and a half kids alone!"

"Yeah, you deadbeat," Jessica added

"Jessica, not helping," Maya sighed, struggling to hide a grin. "Will buying you and the kids breakfast make up for it?"

"Only if you buy me a milkshake!"

"Where am I gonna find—nevermind, I'll figure it out."

~~~~~30 minutes later~~

You walked out of the cafe happily sipping on your milkshake, a giant breakfast burrito in your other hand.

"There goes my weekly spending money," Maya mourned her money that had been in her now-empty wallet just minutes ago. "You're buying lunch, right?" She looked up with puppy eyes. "And maybe for the rest of the week?"

"Well, I did offer to use the card," you smirked. "I suppose I can splurge a little this week," you said, as if you don't have a credit card with no limit.

"Kyle, catch!" You threw Kyle his own breakfast burrito and handed him a bag with a fruit bowl and a cake pop. "Now, you have to eat the fruit before eating that cake pop, understand?"

"Fine, Mom."

"I know you're being sarcastic, but I'm too happy to care." You resisted the urge to hug him so as to not smush his breakfast on him.

"Well, I better be heading to class. See you later, beautiful." Leaning down, you gave Maya a kiss goodbye.

"Bye!"

Leaving Maya and Kyle, you eventually just faded into the crowd of students, never to be seen again...

At least not until lunch.

After paying for Maya's lunch, you sat down at the table with your own tray of food. A giant burger with all the fixings, a tall glass of zesty cola with minimal ice, and a root beer float.

"I don't understand how you're so tall when all you eat is junk," grumbled Jessica as she ate her chicken cobb salad and milk to go with her cookies.

"What can I say? Genetics were just simply on my side. Can't say the same for Damian, though." Also, Alfred only gave you the most high-quality and nutritious food, but you weren't gonna say all that.

"How do you think I feel, with the way she's always picking me up, twirling me around like a doll who weighs nothing?" Maya pouted, getting more flustered by the second.

"Well, unlike the rest of us, you actually like feeling tiny and weak, Maya," Jessica teased. Maya's face burned a brighter red. "Plus, you're not that short, you just got a tall girlfriend."

"Well, you didn't have to call me out like that... how rude," Maya mumbled.

You admired your girlfriend as she and Jessica squabbled. God, she's perfect.

You suddenly remembered something. "Hey guys, unfortunately, I won't be able to make it to study night."

"What? Boo!"

"Calm down, Paul! It's just for tonight."

"That's way too long!" Paul whined. "Who's gonna reach the top shelves at the library now?"

"Wow, and here I thought you liked me for my stunning personality," you giggled with a toothy grin.

"Here you go!" You handed the little boy a popsicle. "Don't overwork yourself or you'll get overheated."

"Ms. Flare, can I have two popsicles today?" You looked around, making sure no one was around before crouching in front of him.

"All right, here, but don't tell a soul. I can't have any of the other kids think I play favorites," you winked. He gasped and pulled you into a hug before running off with the two popsicles.

"Thanks, Ms. Flare!"

You went to check on the grill that you had set up in the middle of the courtyard. Sticking the thermometer into a piece of meat, you let out a groan of disappointment. "All right, guys, looks like we gotta wait a bit longer."

You heard the groans from the crowd.

"I know, guys, we just got to be patient."

"Thanks, Mrs. Westmond," you smiled at the older woman who handed you a big Tupperware of leftovers. "I'll make sure these get to your granddaughter!"

"Thank you, child. Now stay safe out there."

"Yes, ma'am!"

You made the journey to the little girl's house. It was strangely quiet... usually, that meant something bad was about to happen. Maybe you were just being paranoid. You made it safely to the little girl's house, where you learned her name was Jasmine.

"Here you go, ma'am," you handed the boxes of food over to Jasmine's mom. "And I hope that you get well soon," you added with a smile directed towards Jasmine. "We wouldn't want you to miss another cookout now, would we?"

She shook her head with a silent giggle.

"Well, I best be going now." You made your way down the steps. "Gotta get back to my folks."

"You make it home safe, young lady. I don't want to read about your untimely demise in the papers."

"Wouldn't dream of it, mam."

Whistling a tune, you strolled down a random street near Crime Alley. You normally would take the bus, but you felt like you had to take the scenic route. So here you are, taking the long way home, whistling a tune as you go. It was so quiet until a piercing scream broke the night's silence.

"Let go of me!"

You ran towards the noise, not surprised that you found yourself headed straight towards Crime Alley. The pleas for help only got louder as you got closer. You didn't stop to take a breather until you could help this lady.

"Let go of me!" sniffled a tired young woman, struggling to escape the grasp of the man who slashed open her shirt.

"Hey!"

The man flinched at the sound of your voice. With him being caught off-guard, the woman tries to escape, but his grip tightened before she could break free from his grasp. His head violently snapped towards the interruption. His eyes locked onto you, his red, bloodshot eyes taking over your body, admiring the way your black and yellow outfit clung to your body.

You didn't blink. Your golden eyes narrowed with pure, unadulterated disgust.

"I know women are intoxicating," you said, your voice cold and dripping with venom, "but you look like a rabid dog. Back off."

The insult slapped him in the face, leaving him looking like he sucked a lemon. He shoved the terrified woman onto the wet pavement. He rummaged in his pocket for a moment before swiftly pulling out a large tactical knife. With a click, the blade was out. Now pointing it at you, he takes a menacing step forward.

You stayed still, expression going from disgust to a more serious look. In one smooth motion, your hand drops to your thigh holster.

Click.

The unmistakable sound of a gun's safety being clicked off echoed off the brick walls as you level the barrel right between his eyes.

The man freezes, staring down the barrel end of your pistol. He hesitates, knuckles turning white as his grip tightens on the handle of his knife, as he tries to decide if he has an opening to attack.

You don't give him the chance to look for any weaknesses. You already tried to give him a warning to back off. You don't hesitate. Before he can even twitch, your fingers squeeze the trigger, ending him on the spot

A/N: finally got this chapter out only took like over a week to write 😭,it wasn't even as long as I thought it was tbh I think it's only a little longer than the prologue I think. Btw Y/N has a street persona (not a fleshed out vigilante atm) she goes by "Solar flare" the kids call her Ms.Flare. and the adults probably just call her Flare. The criminals do call her by the full name tho. Also I haven't come up with a breed for her dog but basically Angel is a massive giant scary looking dog that I'm pretty sure a dude would name her something like "Caine" or "killer" like her dog looks like she's gonna kill you at any second but she says sweetheart.

My somewhat unhinged dream/probably nightmare from last night.

So in this dream I was 16 actually I don't know how old I was just that I was probably a teenager cause I was sent to a foster home. I made an instant friend she was the bio daughter of the foster parents and we hit it off fast,she didn't have a name. She was blonde with green eyes and I'm pretty sure she was 14. Anyways the foster parents wheeled out two tiny people who I'm pretty sure were adults and once the foster parents are gone they are like "we are actually locked in our room 24/7 they don't feed us unless it's when they introduce us to the new kids" don't know what happens after that but after a bit I'm like "we have to leave!" To my new sister and we leave on bike she's on the back as I pedal. We make it to a gas station like I'm guessing 20 miles away it's night now and the tire pops I'm like "let's see if it'll still go" we fall right away so we go inside for some food and a tire repair thing and we leave once more and it's like really late when the tire pops and we bump into our school counselor one who always comforted us and was there for us. He offered to give us a ride we accepted and after a bit of driving I noticed we are back in the foster homes neighborhood and I'm like "stop the car!" He doesn't so we jump out and I jump a gate I'm shocked cause I never had the strength to do that before. I helped my sister up the gate. We gate hop for hours before finding a alien spaceship we chill there for hours before I'm like "we can't stay here" we gate hop some more I realized people can track me with my phone so I turned it off and we bump into the counselor again who's like "I just wanna help you" we go to opposite direction and after like 30 minutes of that I hear my sister scream so I turn around and she's passed out on the floor and Batman is running up to me with a needle in his hand. I try to run away but he gets me and sticks my neck with the needle I start getting sleepy and vision blurry but I fight it and run it takes like 10 minutes for Batman to catch me but when he does he forces my eyelids close and shouts "relax!" And suddenly I'm having an out of body experience turns out I have a terrible reaction to the sedative my body like seizes up and Batman gives me CPR I'm like "ew" than my spiritual self looks up closer and is like "actually he's kinda....." Than I wake up in the batcave and my sister is chilling in a cot next to me drinking some tea

Is it weird that I read fics where I'm the batfams sibling but than I also read fics where I'm screwing them?

Like it didn't occur to me until recently at how weird that might be.

Although a lot of the sibling ones were the neglected reader ones.

Any tips on how to edit a chapter? I'm not done with it as I needed a break and it kept getting longer but I'm guessing by the time I do get done with the chapter it's gonna be a long chapter that definitely lost the plot so any tips on how to edit a chapter of the details that are prbly me getting carried away?

Why Y/N isn't a vigilante: 1.They are gassy.

We were currently in the rafters of some sort of warehouse,getting Intel on a drug bust. Recording them before we take them down. We had to be as quite as possible.

RIIIIIIIIPPPPPPPPP

A loud noise echoes through the warehouse.

"wha? Who's there?!" Gunshots are heard.

"you were instructed to be quite y/n!" Batman was disappointed that we failed the mission. He had Alfred suture up their arm.

"well sorry for being human!" You quip back "how am I the only one who was gassy we all ate the same beans and toast Alfred gave us for dinner!"

In unison the rest of the batfam pull out a bottle of pills called "beano"(a real thing I discovered when I looked up if there was a pill to stop gas)."we each took one before eating Alfred's food"

"of course you did!"

2. They get distracted way to easily.

"A little help here sparrow!" Shouted Nightwing who was in the middle of a fight. "Y/N?,Y/N!" He turns around and they aren't even there.

A block away at an ice cream shop: "oooh are there really more than 74! Flavours I need to try them all! Gives the employee a large wad of cash.

3: they can barely talk to the "pretty" villains much less fight them.

Sparrow stands there twirling their hair. "Hehe,so I- ivy did you do anything to your hair?" They giggle with a blush. "So are you-" gets cut off by their own nervous giggling. "Doing anything this weekend?,I hear the botanical gardens are lovely this time of year"
