What do you like about your learning?

I found my learning throughout this class to be very helpful for my perspective on content and overall advertising. With doing the content analysis project, for example, I learned the most efficient way in promoting my content and I've seen a huge improvement in interaction and sells in my product. The brand I made has actually gained followers and purchases due to what I learned which is very neat to me honestly. So I feel I have to say thanks for the new insight on content and the ways to efficiently promote ones content for the best success imaginable!! Cheers!

That is awesome that you have been able to apply what you have learned in this class to your life outside of the class! I found this class very useful and I know in the future I am going to be able to apply some of the concepts that we learned in this class.

What I like most about my essay

I like a couple things about my essay. One of them being that this is my FINAL ESSAY FOR COLLEGE! Another reason I like it is because I can showcase my learning throughout the course in this essay, which I think is important.

Congrats! That is so exciting! And I agree I like being able to recap all of the learning and projects that we did throughout the semester.

What I am Most Proud of for My Writing Process

For this essay, I am proud that I just sat down and wrote it out. A lot of times I will overthink an assignment and then procrastinate a little, but for the draft, I just at down and did as much as I could. This will be super helpful in editing the paper for the final submission.

What I Like Most About My Essay

What I like most about my essay is how I connected it to class material to prove my point. I think that is a really important part of this essay. Especially for the parts where we explain the 4 critical skills, it is important to tie it back to projects that we did in class to show how we improved those skills.

Brainstorming the skills: creativity

Creativity is using your imagination to generate original ideas. These ideas can be used to create things, solve problems, communicate with others, and entertain. Creativity occurs when you are open to new ideas and trying new things. Overall, creativity is important because it allows us to be original and broaden our perspectives.

I like the mention of imagination and how that plays into our creativity. Creativity is something I always thought of as being good at art or having some type of talent, but I don't think that is necessarily true. Just thinking outside of the box is creative.

What is learning?

Unlike the previous post, I haven't really thought much about what learning is. I would say that learning is something that you can obtain by using your senses. For example, I could just be using my sight and scrolling on TikTok and come across a recipe. I am then learning that recipe. Going off of that, I also think that learning is anything that you can gain knowledge on that you do know about or that you didn't know about. Similar to content, you can learn from anything at any time and all the time. We may not think about it but we are always learning whether it be what foods we do or don't like, how to play a game, or even just the conversations that we have with others. Learning is the result of our actions as we go through each day but it can also be the result after reading or in-taking of the content we view daily.

I like the points you made. I also struggled to define learning for my post. I like how you mention our senses as part of it because I hadn't thought about that. It definitely would be impossible to obtain knowledge without our senses. Learning is also a lifelong process - we never stop learning.

What is Learning?

Learning is defined as knowledge acquired through experience, study, or being taught. To me, learning is a never-ending process. After we graduate, we may be finished with our education, but we will never stop learning. I feel like I learned a lot from this class. I have not taken any other classes similar to this one and it was a challenge at times as it didn’t come naturally. I am glad that I came in with an open mind because I feel like I gained a lot of valuable knowledge and information that I will be able to apply in the future.

How Writing Demonstrates Critical Thinking and Creativity

Writing demonstrates critical thinking because in order to write, you need to understand what you are writing about. Critical thinking is the analysis of information. Writing is usually all about analyzing and then applying the analysis. You also have to be able to form words and sentences, and then revise the writing. All of this requires you to be able to think critically about what you are doing and what you are saying.

Writing also demonstrates creativity because you are thinking outside of the box. For this class especially, we incorporated design and photos into our writing. Although we followed the instructions, we made all of our projects unique and different. Adding our own touch to our projects made them creative.

How I Understand Communication

I understand communication as the ability to converse with another person effectively. This is such an important skill because it is so easy for there to be misunderstandings during conversations. Being able to talk to others, come up with ideas, and understand one another is vital to working and being in school.

How I Understand Critical Thinking

I understand critical thinking as the analysis of information. It is beyond just understanding a fact, but really understanding why that fact is. In this class, we had to think critically, because we had to apply concepts we learned to our projects. To do that, we really had to analyze the meaning of concepts.

HTWG Feedback #1

This image is of my introduction/content strategy definition slide of my guide. Does this slide serve as an effective introduction, or should I add more to it? I want to keep the guide short and sweet but also want to ensure my audience is well prepared for what to expect in the guide.

I think maybe try to sell it a little bit more specifically for YOUR audience. So maybe explain a little more why reading this guide will help the content creator reading it stand out compared to other content creators of the same genre. What you have now is good though!

Are you guys just adding your reflection letter to the end of your slides? It feels awkward each time I do it, but I don’t have any other thoughts as to how else to seamlessly incorporate it into my presentation. This is not the top of my my concerns list, but something I wanted to bring up here!

What I usually do is type it in a separate document and just submit two separate parts to the assignment folder. As long as you have gotten the credit for it in the past and it is clear that it is the reflection letter, I don't think there's a problem with that at all!

Feedback Needed #3

The last part that I need feedback on for my How to Write Guide is the Tips and Tricks for Content Assessment. I definitely need to add more to this section. Do you think I should include my sample content in this section? Do you think that the tips and tricks I already have for this part are good or should they be changed? I think I could add more about the tips and tricks of content assessment, but also help them understand how to asses and change their strategy. What do you think? Any feedback would be much appreciated!

Feedback Needed #2

I have been implementing my content by taking screenshots of separate aspects of my posts that all deal with content strategy. The one part I am struggling with is how many reels I should include in my How to Write Guide because I know the guide is supposed to be short, so I don't want the content to take up too much space. I have made several reels, but I don't know how or if I will be able to implement them all into the How to Write Guide. How do you think I should go about it? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Feedback Needed #1

This is the intro to my How to Write Guide. I think I should include more in this part to really sell to the reader why they should read through my guide and why it is important to them. This was the feedback that I was given from the first draft. I give a decent explanation of content strategy and in general why that is important, but I think I could do more, I'm just not 100% sure what else to include. Any feedback on what else you think I could include to improve this aspect of my How to Write Guide would be greatly appreciated!
