Space Patch
Been working on the back story for my game design document...let me know what yous think :3
In the year of 2100 a.d, earth had gone to colonise on Mars to help with the expansion of the human populace. To help the survival on mars, they built large domes to make life sustainable. After 10 years earth’s resources are starting to run low, so the council sent out a small fleet to find some colonies to trade, but what they didn’t know was that they were exploring unknown and dangerous territory, which sparked a war that lasted for 5 years between Nekorians, Brutonians, Erudites and the humans. But during the final year of the territorial war, another race joined, but instead of siding with one of the other races, they destroyed anything in their path, these were called the Regani who, originally were like the Erudites, living peaceful, religious lives, until one of the elders became obsessed with discovering a way to eternal life and discovered a new cyber kinetic energy that enhanced his senses and life expectancy, until him and his followers became corrupt with the power. They began to stray from their original purpose of understanding true religion and gaining ancient knowledge, instead they began to hunger for power and immortality, causing them to become twisted, all the while the elder council of their planet were blind by the happenings of the newly formed race the Regani, which was soon unearthed, this would later cause a civil war between the two when the pure elders disagreed with the corrupted and that they should follow the path of the enlightened ones , causing those who hadn’t upgraded to evacuate to a sister colony, as their home planet had started to be destroyed by the dark powers of the corrupted elder and his army of Regani. Eventually the home planet became something, that was once beautiful and peaceful, to a dark ominous planet of pain and suffering, so to put an end to the Regani and their leader, the elders of the Erudites destroyed the planet, hoping to put an end to the Regani, but a few of them escaped, but didn’t appear again until the end of the 5 year territorial war, forcing the four other species to make an alliance to stop the Regani forces, therefore ending the territorial war, but starting a battle that would last for generations.
During the year 2167, 42 years after the war, and 30 years after the last known appearance of the Regani forces, the four races involved in the war and the peace treaty made a council and created the Alliance navy to help in defence from the Regani, if they were to return, one of the new type 45 destroyer classes is part of the new space program of advanced biotic soldiers, The Biotic classes were founded 10 years after the war, leaving the Erudites many years to develop and research into Cyber kinetics, to find a way so that it won’t corrupt the mind of the host, but only a select few soldiers from the alliance with pure minds and intentions could host the symbiotic implant that enhances their senses, health and mind. On the HMS Daring mark VII, the new type 45 destroyer, is in need of a new crew. As a new lieutenant, you have been given a small team of advanced soldiers, including yourself, to help explore the far reaches of the galaxy, with the mission to help find missing ships and crew members who had either been destroyed or have gone M.I.A. the council believe this is the work of space pirates, but you have reason to believe it is the return of the Regani, and they have brought and army to take over the galaxy.
