fucking hate it when the stuff everybody says "actually works" does actually work.
hate exercising and realizing i've let go of a lot of anxiety and anger because i've overturned my fight-or-flight response.
hate eating right and eating enough and eating 3 times a day and realizing i'm less anxious and i have more energy
hate journaling in my stupid notebook with my stupid bic ballpoint and realizing that i've actually started healing about something once i'm able to externalize it
hate forgiving myself hate complimenting myself more often hate treating myself with kindness hate taking a gratitude inventory hate having patience hate talking to myself gently
hate turning my little face up to the sun and taking deep breaths and looking at nature and grounding myself and realizing that i feel less burdened and more hopeful, more actually-here, that i am able to see the good sides of myself more clearly, that i am able to see not only how far i have to grow - but also how much growth i have already done & how much of my life i truly fill with light and laughter and love
horrible horrible horrible. hate it but i'm gonna do it tho

being in your twenties is literally so fucking inhumane. and during a pandemic. Oh my god
the only difference between me and a medieval peasant is that I can make a Spotify playlist to express my feelings
medieval peasant: Behold, friends; i have composed the perfect List of Plays to express my agonies and woes in this trying time!
medieval peasant’s friends: this list be just Toxicke by Brittany of Spears 20 times in a row, thou canst not play this
medieval peasant: i canst, ‘tis my lute

all of us who have already gotten used to 2020’s fuckery:
Reminder for Americans: DO NOT vote for him whatever you do. Doesn’t matter if you’re serious or want to do it as a joke.
Psych wards should really be included in Tumblr’s discussions about ableism.
The doctors there called me psycho and assumed I couldn’t think for myself. They held me down against my own will. I could only go outside if I was in a cement area surrounded by a fence. The rooms were equivalent to jail cells. I cried and told them to stop and they would say “the psychosis…”.
Psychotic people and others with demonized or “scary” mental illnesses are often not treated as humans. Please don’t leave people on the schizophrenia spectrum out of your activism.
Anyone can reblog this.
If you leave psychotic people (and other people with mental illnesses who are often hospitalized) out of your activism, then I don’t want any part of it.
Yes and thank you i was treated so badly in the psch ward and by psychiatrists in general
There is a disturbing difference in the way doctors and especially nurses treat patients with different diagnoses. In the eating disorder unit and psychosomatic unit i was treated as a person with dignity even though i was a literal child during one of my hospitalizations. In the standard psychiatric unit and intensive care not so much. And even then the nurses were WAY more respectful and friendly to me than the patients with severe psychosis.
