Industrial AU - Chapter 1: Meet the cast
Sonic spent the majority of his life in a factory, his mother was already working there when she gave birth to him. They were each other's rocks, life was hard but their bond was stronger.
An accident has torn them apart. Now Sonic roams, taking one day at a time, unaware of the interest the Robotnik family has in him.
Shadow - Esteemed hitman.
Shadow has mysterious origins, but a laser-focused present. The Robotnik family keep their humanoid hedgehog close to their chests, as his power surpasses that of the strongest in the world. Shadow knows his place, knows his purpose, and that is to serve his family and do what is required of him.
Maybe a small voice wishes for something more, especially when his closest friend treats him different to all the others...
Ivo Robotnik - Wealthy businessman.
Following in his father's footsteps, Ivo now helms the Robotnik's engineering empire. The many factories that supply the family's company with their machinery, textiles and other supplies tend to blur together, until an accident in one particular factory has Ivo's attention.
Maria Robotnik - Kind sister.
Cousin to Ivo and best friend to Shadow, Maria is often at odds with her family members. She sees the suffering caused by the family's enterprise, and wishes she could make a difference.
Maria and Shadow have a deep connection which formed through their lower statuses in the Robotnik family, although Shadow is often cast aside much to Maria's disappointment.
Rough & Tumble - Tag team trouble.
These two skunks get their simple pleasures causing trouble. Doesn't matter to who, although they have formed a little resistance group of sorts against the Robotniks.
Mainly stealing supplies from factories and warehouses. Their intentions are not as pure as they may appear; the stolen supplies are going straight into weapons, and means of becoming a big tough group to eventually overtake the wealthiest of the wealthy.
