Hey there! I’m so glad you love the fics ❤️ I unfortunately had to purge a few b/c of my schedule, but I was just working on a new chapter for OF THE FLESH last week. 😊

Yes, this is a series about international espionage, spies, secrecy, the supernatural, the ethics of power and duty, second chances, masculinity, found family,…, but, my selling point is Jason kisses men 🤷‍♀️

And that’s really how I’m selling the JACKALS series, low-key.

Me explaining my love of Jason & Catholicism because a mother figure is central to its practice, he finds solace in the sanctification of suffering so as to persevere, and allows him to take on the role of a ‘spiritual son’ that doesn’t force him into the arms of a physical man b/c that role is spiritually fulfilled…🙂‍↕️

SYMBOLISM: Pragmatic, deeply intelligent, dualistic, they are associated with death and destruction, but also depicted as guiding and protecting souls of the deceased and divine protection. The shadow self; the cycle of life.

To anyone following my JACKALS series, I think I figured out the group’s next mission.

What do you guys think of a “Monument Mythos” concept?

Jason and the JACKALS taking down sentient monuments around the world? Honestly, love it.

Arriving on the crime scene,

JASON: So? You work for the government. What, you don’t read the reports?

HARRINGTON: On traffic patterns in a city 2,500 miles from where I live?

JASON: It’s actually 2,295 miles.

HARRINGTON: Don’t make me smack you in front of all these people.

Sometimes I feel out of place/insecure as a JT writer b/c how do I explain no, I’m not a Batfam writer😭, I just write him having solo journeys around the world, killing zombies in Siberia with the All-Blades, hunting Lycan-folk traffickers in London, taking down androids in Japan, etc., while bonding with an original super team, emotionally healing, and finding himself.

Idk, Jason solo content feeds my soul🤷‍♀️

Jason, explaining the deaths of various Catholic saints in relation to the unsub’s ritualistic murders on the board.

Local Detective: “Say, where the hell did you find this guy?”

Brewster, whispering: He’s was left in a basket on the doorstep of the FBI.

FBI Agent Moretti when he meets Batman:

Jason’s team is just like him, fr: no filter.

Girl dad! Jason who always talks about “Grandma Catherine,” so when his daughter gets a cat 🐈 , he’s confused why she just names it “Cat.”

But she explains it’s short for Catherine.

My post-gotham Jason! doesn’t necessarily reconcile with Bruce or Batfam, but I do think one of Bruce’s last wishes is to have Jason by his side when he passes.

And I think that one moment encompasses everything: just one hand hold.

And that was enough.

Jason leaves back for Quantico not shortly after.

KILLER PRIEST! JASON TODD: “THE EYES OF GOD” (CONCEPT)

Raised by nuns, religious piety and worldly justice, a faith failing to despair.

Or, a Jason who can no longer take what he hears in the confession box, and fulfills a different duty.

Just thinking about Jason experiencing “third man syndrome” in Siberia with his unit, believing they won’t survive the blizzard in the mountains, and hearing Catherine’s voice and sensing her presence.

She encourages him to keep going despite the exhaustion deep in his bone. And, deep down, he believes it’s really her.

“They say the “third man” is who you love most. And who loves you, in return.”

Jason’s FBI team watching him chew out Batfam for intervening in their federal investigation:

It’s such a petty, complicated relationship b/t these groups. I love it😂

When I’m in an angst challenge, but I’m writing all of Batfam missing Jason’s second and final burial b/c he told Roy exactly what to do in case of a second passing.

And I realized Dick doesn’t make the second funeral, either.
