I'll be real here you guys, writing on tumblr has become more of a chore than a source of joy. Trying to get semi-consistent interaction feels like pulling teeth and when i do get interaction it's often fleeting, and very very very rarely does it ever lead to any ooc connections. I didn't get into RP to be a content creator, I got into it as a means to make friends, and tumblr's rp environment is just... not conductive to making friends anymore.

Over all, it's just made me feel as though no one actually wants me to be here, and i realized a few nights ago that the only reason that i'm actually sticking around is because if i don't i'll have nowhere to post my art of the characters that I adore.

Except that I just made an art blog and as a result, i've realized that i haven't really got any reason to stick around here. I don't intend to give up rp entirely, but in truth the tumblr rp environment is just... fucking toxic, and i'm tired.

I might be back, but at the very least this is a notice for a lengthy hiatus.

@thekavseklabs asked: "Trick or treat!" A teenager and a small child have wandered right up to Maledos, hopeful that any adult they approached might have a little candy to give. Their father, Spades, watches from a short distance, dressed as a vampire with possibly too much makeup and glittering accessories.

Maledos, unfortunately, doesn't have any Candy. Not anymore, at least - his sweets had been dispensed elsewhere by this time in the night, so when he turns to look at the kids, he looks like he might apologize for the briefest moment...

And then he gets an idea.

He reaches into his pouch to get something - seemingly only a single copper, and he offers it out with a grin, "Don't have any treats, how 'bout a trick?"

The coin dances across his fingers, and he flips it, catching it in his hand... Only to display that his hands were both completely empty. No coin in his palm, and no coin falls when he turns them over to show the backs of his hands...

Looking confused, he gives his hands a little shake, closed, open, closed... And then his hands turn back over, and open. There's a singular silver coin sitting in each of them, and he transfers them to his fingers, holding them out for both of the children to take.

He leans in slightly, and says in a conspiratorial tone, "There's a baker down the street, you should still be able get some sweet rolls the size of your head if you hurry."

So, come the 29th my cousin is going to be going to his first State competition for marching band, and I'd love to go and support him for it. The problem is that I'm super low on money and without the funds to go at the moment, being that i am disabled with 22 dollars to my name. As of about an hour ago I was asked to pay for half of a hotel on the other end of the state on the 29th of this month, and need to cover my food while i'm there (until recently I was under the impression that these expenses would not fall on me).

If you guys could commission me for some art it'd be greatly appreciated because at this point it's the only way i'll be able to go to support my cousin.
