HuniePop Restyled! (Part 3)

I’m back again with a Lola restyle! Lola’s got a mixed bag of reasonable outfits and questionable ones, so I picked my least favorite and got to work.

Her top here is just awful imo, it looks like a towel wrapped around her! I can see the attempt at mimicking the hatched pattern from her tights on the grey panels by her hips, but this sleek, modern style clashes aesthetically with her token fishnets.

I don’t even have words for the wretched boots they put on this poor woman.

I elected to keep her hair the same texture under the assumption that she is wearing a wig, but I did adjust the color a touch. Obligatory skin tone adjustments as well.

In my restyle, I covered her shivering shoulders with a fashionable cropped fluffy jacket, gave her some gold jewelry, upgraded her boots to something more fitting, and gave her a manicure.

Now, I wasn’t a huge fan of the tights on her, but re-rendering her legs looked like a task I was Not willing to take on, so the style of her new outfit centers largely around the sexy, playful vibes of her tights. Just with some sparkly rhinestones to match her new gold hardware. I also added some garter straps to break up the white a little.

I’m well aware that my rendering on the dress looks like straight ass cheeks but! I don’t care :) The most important part to me was melding the top and skirt into a simple white dress, not making it look perfect. I shifted the shading to a purple instead of gray, mostly to match the rest of the outfit but also cuz I like purple on her.

Bonus! Default Lola restyle! I made her curls tighter, gave her a hair clip, and made her gloves look a tad more reasonable while still keeping that little tease.

HuniePop Restyled! (Part 2)

I was so excited for this restyle! Kyanna is my bias <3

Now, HP has a pretty notorious lack in skin tone variety (not surprising for the genre and intended audience), thus, in my restyle, I felt like Kyanna would look nice with a deeper skin tone. Especially since yellow (like the shirt in the og) typically looks great on more melanated skin, but the tones here need heavy adjusting. Kyanna has such a positive energy and is a responsible mother, but this outfit just doesn’t feel like a proper representation of that both in color and style.

Her hair has this adorable curl at the end in the original that feels like a tease to me, because I demand more curls!! I mean maybe she straightens her hair, but I want to live in a world where her hair is healthy and (what I presume to be) its natural texture.

Kyanna canonically is very athletic so why not give her a little muscle? It’s not a huge change, but I did thicken her biceps up a little.

I also did adjust the shading on her chest simply because the fabric cling irks me (ignore my laziness in not adding the polka dots back)

Onto outfit changes!

I fixed her sad beige mom skirt. It’s possible the original was going for an athleisure style, but I just think it looks like loungewear and definitely not something a woman on a date would wear. Speaking of her athleticism, I gave her a fitness watch! She gives the vibe of someone who would appreciate a good fitbit.

Other noteworthy changes include: the heels going from highlighter pink to soft pastel, pink stitching details for cohesion, a hair tie in case of emergencies, sleeve demolition and reconstruction.

This restyle is my favorite so far, what do you think?

HuniePop Restyled!

Hunie Pop has taken over my brain for the last 72 hours, specifically the ugly ass fashion they put these girls in. Some of it I can excuse as just being 2015 fashion, but that doesn’t make it not ugly.

I started with Kyu’s disguise since it’s the first sprite in the game and also one that I thought had potential but was just a mess in its current state.

There were so many different shapes and colors in her accessories that just felt random; she has frills and ties and flowers and hearts and a random white studded arm band?? Some design elements just don’t really read, like the black cuff on her wrist. I think it’s supposed to be petal-like but it looks strangely cut and the flower on it seems to be a different flower than the one on the bow.

In my restyle, I ditched the black cuff for a black string and pearl bracelet that I then spread through the outfit in a pair of anklets and adorned on the butterfly wings. The pearls came from the simple chain in the original design, but I made them much larger. I even placed one in the center of the heart cutout of her dress to lean into some yonic imagery. (pearl as a clit lmao)

Another big pet peeve of mine in HP designs is the lack of necklaces and other jewelry. Their collarbones always look so plain, so I gave Kyu a simple pearl necklace here.

Other adjustments include: More drama in the skirt, flats changed to short heels, draped straps instead of floating fabric, hair tint, and a glamorous bow.

I know the wing accessory in the original is much more discreet like how a disguise probably should be, but I adore the drama of a giant metal pair of wings on a big poofy bow.

It's been so weird realizing I think they're super hot when I originally watched this as a teenager and DID find them attractive but pretended not to because I did not understand those feelings lmaoooo. Now I'm an adult and I'm like "yeah I'm gonna xxxx and xxxx his xxx and then xxx yk? Yk. Wild. Turns out I like fat hairy guys, big fan actually. Thank God my friends/family don't use tumblr. Trusting you guys to keep this a TOTAL SECRET. Anyways-
