ive said this before but the idea of ethan not being like. hung up on and devoted to luke as others mightve been is so interesting to me. i feel like the general assumption for ta characters is that theyre pulled in by luke’s whatever but i think it’s also really interesting to explore other motivations that maybe diverge or even come into conflict with the cult of personality draw

Miraculous is nuts cuz like it's adored by 4yos worldwide (because the first few seasons are as formulaic as it gets) so I always feel just a little embarrassed about wearing my t-shirt in public but then I go home and turn on season 6 and it's rapidly descending into a psychological horror featuring emotional warfare and sporadic scifi/fantasy representations of a bunch of random facets of our irl apocalypse and the hero/protagonist is gaslighting her boyfriend/partner/deuteragonist into questioning his very reality as she falls deeper into the pits of isolation and mental illness. The intended audience is God and anybody strong enough to buckle down and stay on the ride.

this isn't necessarily grounded in cold hard facts so much as it is guided by my Feelings and Observations as a longtime fandom dweller but let me preface this by saying that I do think it is absolutely exhausting and ridiculous that there are certain people who talk about m/f ships (in general) as if they're an endangered species in need of protection (especially when we all know full well what f/f stats look like in comparison). but the weird other side of this that doesn't get talked about much is that the kinds of queer people in fandom who react to any given m/f ship with "eww straight people" "hetslop" and "it's homophobic if you ship this character I headcanoned as monosexual gay with a man/woman" are probably more likely to be the kinds of queer people that cannot be normal about bisexuals

wouldn't it be kinda funny if they just decided to. not reveal a single secret in the finale. Alyanette conflict is unrelated. no identity reveal whatsoever apart from what we got last episode. Adrien finds out zero information (status quo for him). no letters received or read. all the Chekov's guns stay firmly in their drawers. lmao

i must say, i am a huge fan of when a book is in the middle of a very exciting plot containing many interesting problems when out of nowhere for a few pages it's like, "hey by the way, real quick, here's a detailed explanation of the city's water filtration system! i'm telling you this for a reason and you should worry about it. anyway! haha okay back to the plot" and you just get to be Scared for a while
