The purpose of the media is to inform people about current ,new affairs and to tell about the latest gossip and fashion. It tells about the people who are geographically divided. The role of media has become one way of trading and marketing of products and prejudices. The media claimed to be governed by righteousness and equity, but greed and self-aggrandizement has poisoned its virtues.

Now in this time, media is so vast that we just need to turn on our televisions by pressing a button and we get all the knowledge that we want or even just by searching on search engines on the internet we get each and every information regarding, news, history, geography, music and entertainment and many more and for this the good and common example we have is Google. We can find each and everything or any kind of news and updates by just writing the name on this search engine and on the next second we can see the news and information about that particular subject.
Media helps in bringing the true facts and information of the world in front of our eyes. If there was no media, then there was life but without any information and knowledge.

Both media platform serve the same target audience be it online, in print or broadcast. However, for those whom purposes resemble each other, they have same target audience to cater to and thus, garnering the same audience. They key success, if new media is to ever succeed traditional media, is advanced technology in internet. Although social networking through new media has increased crime rates, it is one of the shortcomings that can be eradicated. With technology, new media has definitely exceeded the abilities of traditional media as an advertising alternative and smoothened the process of gathering concrete information for news articles.
Old is gold. But that does not mean that new changes should be overlooked or even cast aside. It will be beneficial for RTM to tap ways to respond to the global financial crisis and changes in demand, so as to enhance its role in society.

The Evolution of New Media
In our world where technology has been prominent, people have always relied on communication to strengthen their relationships. Interacting with friends and family across long distances has been achieved through media. Media has been convenient in people’s lives today and looking back to how it was developed says a lot about how the world changed since technology has been adopted.
Tracing back to the roots of media, it was said that the earliest methods of communicating across great distances used written correspondence delivered by hand from one person to another. In other words, they used letters. These letters were sent through postal services which started in 550 B.C.
In 1792, the telegraph was invented. This allowed messages to be delivered over a long distance faster and was considered a revolutionary way to convey news and information.
In 1890, the telephone was invented. A year after, in 1891, the radio was invented. Telephone lines and radio signals enabled people to communicate across great distances instantaneously.
In the 1940s, computers were invented. A machine that was used as a medium to use media efficiently. In the 1960s, the earliest form of the internet was developed. Following a decade later, in the 1970s, Advanced technologies have been developed and the decade was known as the “Age of Technology”.
In the 1980s, New media started. Where means of communication was achieved through digital technologies such as the Internet. From then on, other media were developed. Google was created in 1998. Facebook was created in 2004 and Youtube in 2005. And in 2010, new forms of social media were developed.
The Media has influenced individuals on their way of living especially today that technology is widely used. It has helped people live an efficient and convenient life.
Media have been existing since the birth of humanity. As with most things in tech, the social media world is very fast-paced, everyday changes and updates are rolled out to our favorite platforms, users are growing and declining, viral trends emerge, and new strategies and tactics are always being formulated. It can be hard work to keep on top of it all, tracking news, best practice, and future trends all while building your profile on social.
